Re-Kuler; for anyone having problems figuring out what the site is about, have a look at this page:

http://www.adobe.com/products/kuler/

It's free!

Kuler

There is a superb site from Adobe dedicated entirely to colour. I can't recommend it highly enough: http://kuler.adobe.com/

If ever you are having problems with colour palettes, there are many ways of finding inspiration here.

Of course, sometimes you'll want the grid's behaviour to be as it already is in the program and sometimes you want it to stay permanently fixed. As advised above, it's very easy to make some simple reference pattern yourself in a separate level. An extra trick is then to make your reference grid lev...

There's a nice Windows paint program called Twisted Brush that is very full-featured even in its free version: http://www.pixarra.com/product.html Well worth a look. It can export transparent backgrounds when you save as PNG files, so is ideal for importing into AS. Downside is not much in the way o...

Thanks for the link, but it appears to be a Mac only application which I am afraid limits the number of potential ASP users.

Not sure this will help, but you can try looking for copyright free recordings at the Internet Archive:

feature requests, 2009

My first wish is for a proper implementation of motion curves – something that has been discussed several times over the years. The default curves that the program at present offers always try to smooth actions, which is not always what an animator wants. The second wish is for far greater control o...

OK Toonertime, I have just posted a very simple test piece at http://www.vimeo.com/1532899 for you to see. I found that the H264 codec option in Quicktime doesn't seem to work on my Windows XP machine, so I used the Sorensen 3 codec option. The quality option was set to high. The filesize was just u...

Toonertime - the information you need for uploading to Vimeo in high definition is contained on their HD FAQ page: http://vimeo.com/help/hd#whats_hd where you will see their recommended settings regarding compression, framerate etc. I have watched some clips full screen on this site and the quality ...

I'd beg to differ with just about everything mkelley says. First, Vimeo's HD files are better quality than their SD files. Second, the statement that vector animation isn't better in HD is hogwash. And lastly, all HD work uses different forms of compression - without compression, file sizes would be...

I thought it was done using Flash but I don't remember where I read that. I just had a quick "Google" and found this page:

http://www.downturk.info/software/6496- ... -pro5.html

which reviews AS and states that Bendito Machine was made using Moho.

Bendito - pure genius

I can highly recommend a visit to the Bendito Machine website, where you can view the two episodes they've completed so far. This stuff could easily be achieved in AS. Not only is the weird storyline a joy, the soundtracks are also beautifully crafted. If you've not heard of Bendito, give it a try a...

I believe YouTube in fact now uses H264 so overall quality has improved a bit, but the advice on that page is otherwise correct.
