1. At frame 0, make several vector layers (you could also use image layers). On each vector layer, in about the same place, have different versions of the same thing - you might have several versions of a hand, or a face, or eyes, or mouths. Name the layers appropriately e.g. fist front, fist back, ...

Given the UI of the program, I had always assumed its' origins were Mac based. Originally released as Moho on BeOS. Its creator and still the main developer, Mike Clifton, developed a C++ based custom GUI that he has since been able to port to Macs, Windows, and Linux - an impressive effort. I susp...

Greetings, im wondering if this program supports importing of scanned images or photoshop projects Yes - but read on. how does the program actually differentiate from the drawing and blank paper in the background when it animates. Hi Sruli. There are a couple of ways to do it. One way is to make all layers child of a Group layer, by dragging them onto the Group layer. If you are using the standard version and not the Pro version, a Bone layer without bones can act as a Group layer. Then assign the entire Group layer (and its ...

Some of the lossless codecs (HuffYUV, Lagarith for AVI; Animation at full quality or PNG codec for Quicktime) are good for the intermediate editing stages, in that you don't lose quality through mutliple lossy compression stages, yet the playback software may be better at handling the smaller filesi...

Hi Josh, Apart from the File -> Render, a known problem which will be fixed when the update comes out, everything else should be okay. Are you sure you are looking in the right folder? Going back to Vern's first suggestion: When you've finished the animation part, duplicate the layer with the original fill (this also duplicates any point motion), move it above the shading layer but keep it in the masking group, set it to not be affected by the masking (and not act as a mask), and ...

Some further detail on one of Vern's suggestions: Go into the File menu, and select Project Settings... Choose a project Dimensions setting from the Presets drop-down list. The default is only 320x240 - small but good for quick-rendering previews, some Internet sites, email attachments, and some mob...

Hi J You're doing everything correctly. Gradients don't show in the working preview. File -> Render will be added to the standard version in a minor update due out some time soon. In the meantime, you can only see the gradient by exporting your animation - File -> Export Animation from frame 1 to fr...
