Re: Gradually slow down animation

Don't forget to have that spinner go back and forth some times at the end before it comes to rest.

Re: Gradually slow down animation

Had something like that in a job: a slot machine. Created an image strip with all the numbers, made some copies, applied directional blur on each with different strength. Animated these in Moho and switched between images.

Re: Timeline consolidation

I try to avoid manoeuvres like this because Moho isn't really built for that. Instead I render stuff and try to fix it in video editor, fortunately I can use transpareny and render only parts.

Re: Timeline consolidation

As long as what you want to move is in a single layer (group), this can be done in the Sequencer tab of the timeline. If you've never used this before, you should train on a different project first. (And make a copy for security anyway.)

Re: Object not moving correctly...

Never ever put things in different Z depths which shall move together. Only use layer order to determine what goes to front.

In general, never use any other Z value than 0 unless you're doing a multiplane setup...

Re: Head rotation and movement

A switch layer can have bones as well! In your case it may be enough to only bind one of the switch images to the bone.

It's also possible to put bone layers inside a switch layer.

Re: Head rotation and movement

OK, I assume your problem is this: You have a head turn, and you have lots of different trunks because you want to move it. For each head position, there's a set of several trunks. Correct? How I would solve this: Have a bone or group layer for each head position. Inside this there will be 1 head po...

Which means nothing if applications don't use it. There's in-built limits in most of them.

Re: Render errors

1000 frames in 4K are 2.5 GB. Did you ever even check if there's enough RAM for that?

Do the math before you render.

Re: question about 3D object shading

If you need that kind of 3D, use a 3D software.

Re: rotating layers

Whatever method you like, they all work.
Usually I do a 360° rotation, set the first key to linear to get a constant rotation, then set the last key to cycle/loop. Careful not to include the first key in that loop or you'll get a visible stop.

Re: SVG import from Affinity Designer

As a more general advice, always design with the animation abilities of your chosen platform (Moho) in mind. In your case, I'd make the elbow and knee patches complete ovals and use the arm or leg as a mask, to ensure that no matter how strong I deform the arm or leg, the patch will always touch the...

Re: SVG import from Affinity Designer

No, I didn't see any of them. I'd ask myself if any of this would a) cause any trouble in animation and b) be visible to anyone. I only adjust for a). Have you even tested the imported stuff for correct behaviour when bound to bones and moved/distorted? And no, there's no way to prevent this since A...

Re: SVG import from Affinity Designer

I don't really see what you're complaining about, the only shapes which seem odd are the thighs, and that can be fixed in a minute in Moho. Everything else looks fine, in fact much better than what we have to deal with other import sorces.
