Only when his owner misbehaves. I'm having some issues with it. That line that is in the middle of the body won't go away. I've tried to hide it/unhide, but no luck. I might have to redo the body. Oh well, its all trial and error, and maybe for a different post. and thanks for the comments, I worked...

DK, just wanted to say thanks to this very helpful technique. It made it easier to have complete eyelid control. :D I uploaded a short test animation with my character with a new pair of eyelids I did modify it a bit though. I added a 3rd bone to the top and bottom layers of the eyelids. The 3rd one...

Amazing work. Very well done. The biggest flaw was the character movement. It was too even and smooth. Have someone act out the script to you or record yourself doing it and pay attention to the the body movements. Its not all smooth and slow. There will be a lot of quick jerky movements. This is ve...

Overall the film was well done. I enjoyed the pastel backgrounds. Fit the mood of the music. There were a few things i noticed wrong with the animation. Around 3:30 into the film some of the back portions of the bat were black, then they became brown. Don't know if this was intentional. The characte...

You asked about outline color. I like to use a slightly darker shade of the fill color on my drawings. I only use black outlines on rare occasions.

If your trying to add keyframes between two other keyframes, just right click and select option "add keyframes"

If your trying to add frames between keyframes (more time between the actions) just click the keyframe(s) you want extend and then move them along the timeline.

Starting Papagayo files where you want.

The biggest problem I have with papagayo is that when you input the .dat file it erases everything on that frame and you can't start it where you want. Here's a quick workaround. Use Papagayo like normal, export to the .dat file. In AS, select the mouth layer and create a new action. Name it somethi...

Reading another topic about fixing .dat files from papagayo I stumbled on a workaround. Instead of importing the .dat files into the main timeline, create a new action and save it on the action timeline. When it's saved on as an action, you can then input the soundbite action on the main timeline on...

The saving the sound bits as actions instead of the main timelines works fine. You can input the actions anywhere u want.

What about not changing the .dat file or papagayo. But how AS inputs the info. Even if you can specify the start frame in Papagayo, say to start at frame 20, wouldnt you lose everything before frame 20 and after the end of the clip? would it be better if there was a script that inputted the .dat fil...

Yea Synth, I remember trying to figure that out when I first dived in to the program w/o looking at the tutorials and help from this site. I teach computer systems for a living and sometimes I find it difficult to "dumb down" my instructions for people that have never been on a computer. T...

You can't manipulate audio in AS. Any audio you import will always start in frame 1. Even if you load it from frame 1000. It will always load at frame 1. If your trying to load from different recordings I think the best method is to put it in a single track with a audio program like Audacity (free)....

The eyes, eyebrows, and mouths are on a switch layer. According to the help section "Switch layers are used to group together multiple layers, much like Group layers. However, switch layers have an interesting twist: only one of their sub-layers can be displayed at a time. " Lets use the e...

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Its not completely done, I still have to play around with the line widths around some of the shapes. The most challenging part was the bone setup. I wanted to set-up a rig that would go front front to profile on the head, but I decided to keep it simple while...
