Re: mp4 Render Butchering Colours?

There's really no just one answer to fit them all. PNG is an uncompressed file format and most (if not all) video formats are somewhat compressed. That's where some colour info is lost or simply changed/adjusted to the given/available colours for each specific codec, format... In order to preserve t...

Re: mp4 Render Butchering Colours?

Do you have the correct colours when you render a single frame? If so, there's the solution - export png's or similar (with correct colours) and wrap it up outside Moho by some video editor of your liking. Import img sequence and apply the proper export settings/codecs... On a side note... That blue...

Re: Rotate smart bone

Could you post a screenshot of the SB timeline, instead of the Mainline?

Re: Rotate smart bone

If that SB is meant for changing the shape of the fin, without some interpolation between the two shapes, you could change keyframe type to step, make kf's at proper positions and these would work just like Switch layers.

Re: Weights tool for manual binding

Spine has several neet tools and weight is among those, for sure. Moho does not have that particular tool but you can achieve the desired (tail) 'effect' with sketch bones. Other than that, if you create a certain set of 'constructional' bones, make another set of bones parented to those, bound them...

Re: Pixel Problem

The vector line goes from point to point, where Brush is formed by repeating the given shape/s (png/s) for the given specs along the v. line. Hopefully, antialiasing would help with No brush where With brush it could be due to the 'shape' of the brush. Say, the brush is 'rectangular' and due to the ...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting

I share the impressions about Klaus production, their approach to light and I did the tryout where I used referenced layer copies. Copies are made after the animation so this way one may select the portion of visible/used layers and either apply some of the available Effects or use such 'portions' f...

Re: GIF colors way off

While we're there / here's a link to the video in which Victor explains another approach. A while ago I used b&w + 2-3 darker shades of grey, on a transparent bgd - and all of it in order to reduce the gif size. Alas, the pure white was available only with 100+ colours palette. You've made me look s...

Re: GIF colors way off

@Jkoseattle / You're most welcome, glad it helped. Still, I should have used 'palette' instead of misleading 'gamut' and perhaps I should have mentioned that one should 'organize' the artworks in that sample frame in order for it to show most (if not all) of the colours. That should produce the clos...

Re: GIF colors way off

Have you tried picking the colours for gif, from the rendered frame? Ctrl+R and at the bottom you'll find the button.

Also, it could be due to the number of colours. Your Original Red may be out of the gamut, for the desired/set number of colours.

Re: Seal Rig

Yet another really cute character. Seems to me that elephant's head turn has more inbetween frames unlike these switching of flippers. Perhaps you could reduce the number of shapes/forms of flippers and simply set clear and strong (breakdown) poses along with a pinch of anticipation to 'hide' switch...

Re: Moho's future

^ I guess you did not have in mind a few members of the forum, while you wrote that comment? Blender is also not considered as an industry standard but does it really impacts its usage? Far as I'm concerned - industry standard in animation is quite similar to political correctness. A phrase and noth...

Re: Star VS The Forces of Evil Opening cover animated

x) The whole piece is well done hence I thought it was intentional (nor really familiar with the series and characters)

However, the timing of rapid movements is slightly demising the appearance - no anticipation, extremes last only a frame (or two?)... /arms up, kicks, jumps...
