Re: Actions/ head turn question

Oooh ok. Wow, I was afraid of that. Actually it's not that big a deal, it was just confusing me as to why I was having so much trouble figuring stuff out. Ok, thanks for letting me know, Darth. Glad I didn't waste too much time on that =)

Actions/ head turn question

Hey guys, I've got a question about actions. When doing a head-turn with actions, here's how I usually do it: I create one view for the head, say front view. Then I create a front view action and set all the keyframes. Then I create a 2/3 view and basically move all the points, essentially re-drawin...

Hey Kellz,
What kind of project(s) did you have in mind? I've often thought of trying to hook up with some fellow animators/artists on this site or others, to try and get something going. It's so much for just one person to do.

Well, they've got a lot of good stuff on CP. But if I personally would love to see a good horse model on there for AS. I"ve been putting off creating one of my own for a western project I have in mind. Seems like it will be hard work =P

Hey Artpen, I'm pretty new at AS, but I usually draw my backgrounds in another program then use AS for the characters. It's just easier that way because the drawing tools in AS aren't that great. But I've seen some good backgrounds created in AS. Just depends on what kind of look and style you're go...

Hey Hothead, Well there are several parts of the answer to your question. Like others have said, part of it depends on your drawing ability. The good thing about AS is your really don't need to know how to draw in order to use the software. So for people who want to animate, but can't draw well, thi...

Sweet!

Wow, nice job Jonbo! It's funny because for months I've had this animation in mind that I want to try, where a man turns into a werewolf. Of course that's pretty complex and it certainly won't be a first or even second project, but it's nice to see the tools are there in A.S. for that kind of animat...

Wow, very nice!

Wow, I agree with everyone else. Absolutely great work. I've seen a couple of your other things, too. Your establishing shots and backgrounds are always so well done. I hope I can do as well. Hope to see Trigger in action soon

Horse/rider design question

Hey guys, I've been giving my Old West animation some more thought, and whether or not to attempt it in AS. I guess none of the horse stuff would be too bad in AS Pro, but doing some of the tack (reigns, saddle, etc) will be a bit of a pain. I'm wondering if I should create a horse from three or fou...

Hey Selgin, Oh my god, I didn't know you didn't have to worry about matching up the number of points if you are doing actions!! Actions is always how I do head/body turns, but I thought you still had to keep track of the points. GREAT!! Thanks for the huge clarification =) wait, wait, the number of...

I'm pretty sure that Manga Studio and other vectorial softwares have points, it's only you can't see them, so that feature hasn't much sense. Anyway, point animation is one of the biggest features of AS, once you get it, you can do fantastic things. Hey Selgin, Well yes I agree point animation is a...

Get Rid Of Points?

I have a suggestion I think would make things much easier, as far as designing characters. Why not just get rid of points altogether? The lines are already there, and other programs (like Manga Studio, etc) allow you to manipulate vector lines even though there aren't any points on them. That way, y...
