Re: Free easy music for cartoons

Of course, you'll never find software that can replace the years of practice, investment, honing of craft and high production values that you'd get by hiring a professional composer & sound designer on your animated projects. Ahem. :P

Re: The Masking Confusion continues...

Mr. Funksmaname... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I just saw that you responded to me days ago, and for some reason I didn't get notified! Thanks so much for this, I will check out your suggestions. Masking is so confusing to me (and others, apparently), this is a huge help. But most importantly, th...

The Masking Confusion continues...

Hi there, So sorry to even have to do this... but could some kind soul - who understands masking - save me a tonne of time and explain the right set up for this very simple situation: (And I am confident that this is an extremely simple answer, as this has to be a setup that folks use all the time) ...

Changing scale changes appearance?

Hi All, Anyone have any ideas how to solve this issue? I've got a character that is built out of a combination of 2D and 3D parts. I like to start with faces, so I built his face all nice and big so I can see the detail. Then I wanted to start on his body, so I shrunk the scale of his face, but I fo...

Re: Bone morph dials script

OK, so I FINALLY got over my fear of using scripts, and I FINALLY downloaded this incredible script. After a bit of twiddling, I got it to work, but now I have a question, and since it did take me some twiddling to get this to work, I'm not sure if what I'm dealing with is that I'm doing something w...

Hi Jon, Thanks so much for the tutorial! That sounds like it may be a great workaround for me. Unfortunately, for some reason, I can't get the video to work in your tutorial, but the audio was very clear, and though I don't have time fully check it out right now, a quick test of your technique leave...

Hmmm... Not 100% sure, but there may be a limit to how many Morphs can be imported. The character I'm working on (a custom built thing based on M4 but severely manipulated with Creature Morphs, etc.) has dozens of morphs, and I think - haven't tested them all yet - but I think it may only read the f...

Poser Morphs in Anime?

Hi All, I'm trying to use a Poser 2012 created character in ASP, and I'm finding some oddities. It seems that only some morphs actually work in ASP, even though all are displayed. So, clicking on a character body part with the Poser tool does, indeed bring up the right menu and visually appears to g...

Hey, I'm a composer and sound designer by trade, and I've got the amenities and skills that accompany - nice mics, proper iso-booth, etc.

Hi there, I can't speak for everyone, but I know for hobbyists like myself I'd love to see more elements / components vs. full characters or sets. There is a distinct lack of handsets, for example. I recently created a character, and was about to tear what's left of my hair out from trying to make h...

Interesting thread. I think it's important to note that interpretations of The Berne Convention do differ greatly from country to country. Regarding the South Park characters on CP, I've seem some of them, and while they are clearly "in the style of", the creators and users are in the clea...

Hi Derek,

I think I've encountered a similar problem when importing .obj files to go along a path. The solution for my situation was to make sure I ’reset' the XYZ coordinates prior to attaching them to the path.

Hope this helps.

Blender to Anime Studio

Hi All, Wondering if anyone has any experience using Blender 2.49 and exporting the created .OBJ files to Anime Studio? I have no problems exporting/importing the shapes, but I'm very confused how to successfully have the textures export / import. Since I am still learning both of these awesome piec...

From a music / audio background - Part I

Hi there, Quick background - I am a composer / producer / sounddesigner by trade: (www.squarewave.ca) , and I guess over the past little while I've become a hobbyist animator. I love Anime Studio Pro, but as I work on it, I find myself longing for some of the standard tools that I have in my audio/m...

Thanks for the response! I feared/suspected this.

I haven't managed to locate any of the scripts, so if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it!

Cheers,
