Re: A Cat Called Jam (behind the scenes)

I will never rig anything without using meshes again. Ok, I've been using a lot of custom meshes this past week and I'm really beginning to understand what you mean. :) BTW, I want to use Pin Bones in my meshes but I do wish the Pin Bones widget could be resized. Most of the time, the widget is too...

Re: Import Reference Constraints?

Yeah, somethings will update and others won't. Bone Strength, for example; If you change that in the 'master' rig, it doesn't get updated in the imported reference. I guess it's like Wes said, if it's not a keyframeable property, it won't get updated. Also, be aware that somethings that will update ...

That's pretty neat, guys! Will give it a try this evening.

Update: Tried it yesterday and, yes, this tool should be useful! Thanks for creating it.

Re: Particles not rendering

I haven't seen your file but maybe the individual sprite can be animated to fade out over time? Then the particles should fade that way after being emitted. I just did a quick test to confirm: 1. Animate the opacity of the 'sprite' layer. For example, set the layer to fade to 0 opacity at frame 24, ...

Re: Super fast playback bug

Most of what you describe sounds ok to me. mp3 might be the cause because it's a compressed format but, to be honest, I don't think it should have this kind of impact on normal playback. More likely it would affect frame accuracy, making it less than ideal for lipsync animation, but that should be i...

Re: Opacity for "Frame by Frame" dosen't work v13

Unfortunately, that's how it's always been in ASP/Moho: effects applied to any group layer (Group, Bones, Switch, etc.,) only show up at render time. I wish it showed up in OGL too. A while back, I was told they were looking into re-working how Moho uses OGL, so hopefully we'll start seeing such imp...

Re: Super fast playback bug

Wow! Disabling Frame Skipping really mucked it up. Lots of hangs and audio problems right away. That's not it! And this is with a simple scene, no external assets added? If so, something is definitely wrong. To me, it sounds like something is interfering with Moho's processes. Try this: check Task ...

Re: How to keep Layers Panel very wide.

That's pretty weird but I'm glad you got it working. :)

I'll add Ronbo's Mac info to the page for the video. If I have time, I'll append the video itself. Thanks Ronbo!

Re: Ebsynth filter for toon animation plugin *free*

That looks amazing! So it looks like you screen cap the keyframes from a video, and paint over the keyframes or process them to look like paintings; then you feed the painted version of the frames for sampling by the software to process the whole video. Hmm...can't wait to try this myself. Thanks fo...

References are working in 13 for me.

Just wondering, does the Reference layer still not work after using Synch All Channels To Original command?

Re: How to keep Layers Panel very wide.

That's strange. Does it do this even after hiding or moving the columns to the right of the Name column to the left of it? Those columns can obscure the name but hiding or moving them should keep the name column clear. (You'll still want to have the Autosize Name Column option enabled.) If you're fo...

Re: Adjustable timeline bars

Thanks for the info! I'm pasting the info in my 'tips and tricks' notebook. I'm sure this will come in handy someday. :) Regarding the adjustable timeline guides, that's a good idea. I would suggest it to the developers. For now, I use the timeline markers, which can be labeled, color coded, and cop...
