Forum software update

Over the last few days we had some problems with the forum. I've updated the software to get things working again, but I've got to be realistic... I am no longer involved with Moho in any way. OK, one way: I pay for this forum and do a little bit to keep it running. I'm doing this because I know the...

Hey, Stefan! What're you doing here? I miss you guys too. It was fun working with a team that cared about what we were building.

Re: 3D OBJ Import Problem

Hmm, it doesn't look exactly like this is the problem, but try switching between clockwise and counter-clockwise faces in the Layer Settings dialog.

Re: Rendering zoomed-in vector layers is very slow

Here's probably what's happening: Many of the layer effects scale as you scale your layer. For example, if you have layer shading turned on, let's say you set a blur radius of 30 pixels. If you then scale up your layer by 10x, the blur radius goes up to 300 pixels. As you might expect, computing a b...

Re: Lost Marble down?

I'm keeping lostmarble.com alive because of the forum. But since I have no involvement with Moho anymore, I decided to shut off all the other pages. (There may be some active pages still, but the homepage doesn't direct you to anything.) I made this decision quite a while ago - I guess you're just s...

Re: bezier curve option

No, I'm not saying the handles are bad. I'm not exactly sure what I'm saying...that the world is complicated, I guess. Sometimes you want something, only to learn that it's kind of a pain, or not always as great as you had hoped it would be. Just struck me as funny somehow that I had been hearing re...

Re: bezier curve option

I mainly use bezier points only for non-deforming artwork. That would be my preference, too. I find those beziers REALLY difficult to control while animating. Thanks for the feedback, Greenlaw The funny thing is, I had been telling people for like 17 years that bezier handles would be a pain for an...

Secondly, I especially feel bad as I was that guy in Glendale that you had the meeting with. Hey, thank you for chiming in! Sorry I'm late in finding this message, but I really appreciate the time you took to talk to me about your studio and the work you've done with Moho. At heart I'm a big animat...

Re: HTML5 export in near future?

Just keep in mind that MotionArtist is pretty far behind Moho. It will not support Moho version 12 features (or 11, or maybe even 10, I'm not exactly sure). Also, MotionArtist was created before WebGL was widely adopted by browsers. It can export some bone animation, but nothing where shapes get war...

Re: My future with Moho

Stuffit is a "graphics product"? No, but I wouldn't hold that against them. While not a graphics product, Stuffit is a product from the "Santa Cruz team". There have been lots of product acquisitions and mergers and such over the years. Stuffit is from the original group, and over time the gr...

Re: My future with Moho

Like it was "interesting" what Adobe did to Flash? Well, there's a reason I used the word "interesting" instead of "great". A company like Adobe would have been able to keep things going at least, and maybe it could have been great. I know Flash is still used by a lot of animation studios. I think ...

Re: My future with Moho

I really love all the drawing tools in Photoshop, but working with the timeline is always such a drag so I don't feel comfortable animating in it. Are you on the animation-side of PS? Nope, not working on animation features. Actually, this is my second time on the Photoshop team. I previously worke...
