Re: How to move points with precision?
If you want to translate points and restrict movement to just the x or y axis, using version 11: 1.) Select the points to be moved. 2.) Hold down the shift key while you move the points. 3. Don't forget to add a starting keyframe in the timeline so that your points don't drift all over the place, an...

Re: 2.5D Goku rig
Nice. I particularly like your solution for the arms. The way the bicep moves as the arm turns is great. Also I like what you did with his mouth, where one side of the control bone is mouth closed to open with no teeth, and the other side is closed to open but with teeth showing. Haven't seen anyone...

How do I resize layer w/o affecting Z axis value?
Is there a way to resize a layer without it affecting the Z axis?
I know I can go in and change it manually afterwards but is there a way to avoid changing the value of Z while resizing layers?

Looks great.
I'm trying for something similar on one of my rigs, but you've got it down.
How long did that take you?

Re: Hand turn rig tutorial
This is the best tutorial I have ever seen. I would like it if Bree's contributions had been left in, and perhaps some of the errors edited out. But those are minor creative differences, I'm sure. I especially liked the part where you labeled a shape "thumb" because, as you pointed out, &q...

Re: How can I switch off the workspace rotation? ~ Solved
Yes, thanks! I went into my preferences of the trackpad and switched off rotation. Oddly, ASP was the only program that rotated the screen with two finger turn on track pad. Anyway, turning off rotation on trackpad fixed the problem, and I can still use the rotate tool to rotate the workspace. Thank...

Re: How can I switch off the workspace rotation?
It's an old Mac Book Pro from 2010. It doesn't have a touchscreen or a drawing tablet attached, just a little glass plate. Hey maybe this means I can use a capacitive pen with it. From my understanding, the option only shows if the tablet is connected when AS is launched. Maybe it's only a problem i...

Yep. vers. 11.2.1, build 18868.
I have a blank bar there.
At least I know I'm looking in the right place.

Re: How can I switch off the workspace rotation?
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I can't find the Multi-touch checkbox, I check Help to see if they have a screen shot, and it says: Use the Multitouch checkbox (located above the Timeline on the left side) to enable or disable Multitouch support. This tracks with what you wrote, but I see no suc...

How can I switch off the workspace rotation? ~ Solved
How can I switch off the feature that makes my workspace rotate every time I touch the screen with two fingers? It's quite distracting. Short of constantly holding down the shift key, I can't even work without the workspace rotating all over the place. Yes, you can get it to snap back by using shift...

Re: Getting a cut out character back together?
From your description it sounds like the layers are stacked on top of each other after import. So you might try this: -Create a Bone layer -Place all the body part layers into that Bone layer -Use "Transform layer Tool" to move the layers around until they look like your original artwork. ...

Re: Current Approaches
This seems like a relevant thread to bring up smart bones in ASP11. If I want to create a control dial bone, there is a handy option to click which basically sets it all up for me, and I just add point motion (for example), it's pretty sweet. Is there a similar thing in ASP11 for non-control dial sm...
