Re: Moho 12

Make sure using the Transform Bone tool. When you hover over the pin bone, make sure you see the Scale cursor before you try to scale. You don't want to be directly on top of the center, that will only translate the bone. Hold CTRL and hover slightly off from the center of the Pin bone until you se...

Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update

If they expect professional to be buying their product then I would suggest that most professional would own up to the false advertising of the early adopter sale. Professionals working in the industry are just happy to get so much for so little, compared to everything else they use. Agreed, here a...

Re: Moho 12

I agree. The freehand tool doesn't seem to retain individual, unconnected strokes any more if subsequent strokes begin too close to an end of a previous stroke. It seems like Auto-Weld cannot actually be turned off. I hope that this is a bug that can be fixed. Yes, I'm having the same experience, a...

Mattchee, transparency is supported, but gradients and blending modes aren't unfortunately.
Thanks! And I agree -- Moho improved the AI artwork :!:

Re: Moho 12

I have seen import pics from Illustrator but since I discontinued my CC subscription I use Affinity Designer and iDraw. Does anyone have experience importing from these 2 programs? Thanks Still on CS6, with no intention of subscribing :D I've tried importing from both iDraw and Affinity, but the re...

Re: Moho 12

I’ve already posted this on the Facebook Anime/Moho group page — I hope it’s okay to duplicate the post here. This is a graphic exported from Illustrator as a SVG and imported into Moho 12. http://i66.tinypic.com/5v9avt.png Moho did a terrific job. The linework was originally done using Illustrator’...

Re: Moho 12

Better freehand drawing, bezier handles and a warp facility were at the top of my personal wishlist. Really excited about this release!

Re: Toon Boom announces new products (and prices!)

With the entry level Toon Boom Studio, they’re offering a crossgrade to Harmony Essentials (equivalent to Animate) for $99. I’ve criticised their prices in previous posts, but this actually seems very good value.

Re: Toon Boom announces new products (and prices!)

I've used Toon Boom Harmony. Yes, it is excellent. But I wish it was more affordable.

Toon Boom announces new products (and prices!)

Toon Boom has announced a new version of its high-end software, Harmony, which will replace not only the existing version but also its cheaper products, Toon Boom Studio and Animate. Those will no longer be available after October 2015. There are 3 versions of Toon Boom Harmony: Harmony Essentials (...

Re: Advice on TV production

Those characters and rigs are actually included with the software. If you go to Windows > Library you'll see them in a panel. You can then drag them into your document and work with them. They were included as a training tool -- testing them in a production environment should give a good feel for An...

Re: Advice on TV production

Those tutorials are more for a beginner/intermediate user. At no cost, you can browse Smith Micro's YouTube channel which does have some advanced tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLynyD-7entJ3jNUoQ1IDv9BPAGz25oxmQ I'd particularly recommend some webinars they've hosted, especially on...

Re: What do you think about the AS10 main characters?

A suggestion: could Smith Micro set up a webinar where you would talk us through the rigging in some of the characters (or any new characters in future versions)? This would be helpful for understanding the principles of rigging in Anime Studio, and applying them to our own work.

Re: What do you think about the AS10 main characters?

I love those characters, and the fact that there is a range of styles from naturalistic to abstract, and from characters created with an outline to those that have only a fill. The rigs are amazing, and hugely helpful. They really make the case for Anime Studio being a fully professional solution. I...
