Re: CharismaAnimtations|Anime|2d animators needed!

I would like to echo what dkwroot asked; are there any details about the project (script, storyboard, character designs)? People buy into specific ideas and dreams, rather than committing themselves to creating animation (for free) to a project just because it is animation related. Please post the s...

Re: Short private anime piece

Hi, It is hard even for people who do it everyday to determine what it will cost, so it is understandable that someone who is totally new would not know. For $400 you might be able to get someone to work for a day or two; three if you are really lucky. You were able to provide a rough length 120-240...

Re: Zombie Story

DK, I appreciate the concern, and it's been nagging at me a bit too. One thing that the storyboard and animatic don't show is that in the first shot the city is seen smoldering in the background. And of course the first thing we see are the hand-made graves, so we know this is an apocalyptic situati...

Re: Zombie Story

I am in the process of updating the animatic by replacing the hand drawn images with poses done in AS. Right now I only have about 11 of the 21 shots replaced which you can see here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgWwdk7Rsk4&feature=youtu.be Known issues are that there are no backgrounds in th...

Re: Zombie Story

Ddrake, I think the story will work as is; but you are right; the way the storyboard/animatic is drawn I could see how it could be taken that way. For the animation I will push the poses more and do what I can to make it more obvious that they are people struggling with the plow. For me anyway, subs...

Re: Zombie Story

Thanks for your comments lwaxana. It's funny that until now I didn't see what you described in shots 6 and 7, but I was going to change it anyway for the sake of production! I'm changing shot 6 so that it looks more like 2; maybe it will be exactly like 2. Then shot 7 would be the same angle, but a ...

Re: MORALLY CHALLENGED

I will focus my comments on the animation and little on the content since you seem to be covering something that is very sensitive and personal. Quite frankly I couldn’t understand the message. There is music in the background that I can’t make out, but it makes it harder to understand the voices. T...

Re: Can you mirror a turn?

I am also looking for an answer to this. The technique I used was not ideal, but here it is: After completing the profile view on one side, I took a screenshot of my computer screen. Not a rendered version, but of the screen that shows where the points are. Then I imported the screenshot into a laye...

Re: Phantom keys

The key for the layer just wasn't showing for some reason. I got out of AS and restarted and it showed up and I was able to delete it.

Re: Zombie Story

Rather than posting continually on this forum, I am taking a suggestion that jahnocli made some time ago and starting a blog. This will allow me a place to document my journey of making my animated zombie story. It probably sounds strange, but other than forums, I have never been into social media s...

Phantom keys

I am in the process of rigging a character when I went to a non-zero frame to test a bone. There are no keys, but something is causing the hands to shift to a different location on the screen and the foot to distort. I have checked every bone and every layer for keys. I have also use the menu option...

Re: Zombie Story

I have been working on the body of the main character and have questions that I cannot seem to find answers for. I searched the forum, the help and looked at a lot of videos. What is the best methodology for building a character's body? I originally created the front view on a single layer with all ...
