Re: Liquid shapes lose their effects?

Pretty neat indeed! Strangely enough, when I open your sinny_balls.moho , it tells me that it uses a newer version of Moho: https://i.postimg.cc/25kSCZHR/2024-05-28-20-56-00.jpg But when I go to update, Moho tells me I'm up to date: https://i.postimg.cc/pLqphC5X/2024-05-28-20-56-18.jpg Is 14.1 the l...

Re: My wish for Moho in 2024 – Concentrate on Timeline/Workflow improvements

Also been teaching myself Apple Motion (After Effects user usually) and i really like the slick Apple interface AND it doesn't have dockable windows either but it doesn't annoy me as much as in Moho... I've been a fan of Motion since the early days, it's a fantastic software, superior to AE in some...

Re: My wish for Moho in 2024 – Concentrate on Timeline/Workflow improvements

Not timeline related but something that really bothers me, being a big user of Undo. Have you noticed that when you do a ctrl/cmd+Z after adjusting a numerical value (such as opacity), it will take you through all the increments, instead of taking you to the starting point of the adjustment? It comp...

Re: Liquid shapes lose their effects?

And if you're interested, here's an image from my storyboard. FYI, Effector Tcells, are regular Tcells after they get activated by the macrophage (APC) presenting outside matter. They multiply, get crazy etc.. Just so you get a sense of the challenge. Simple shapes, but numerous, and some animation ...

Re: Liquid shapes lose their effects?

Image
So I took the cilias and gradient off the T cell, so this is my base line. I m a big believer in the keep it simple stupid moto. Still I need to bring a bit of added value.

Re: Liquid shapes lose their effects?

Thanks for experimenting with that. And Victor's point is well taken that I shouldn't expect it to work anyway. And after all, I won't be showing cilia because it looks too much like a virus indeed (your remarks made me realize that). T-cells do have cilias, but I need to remain schematic and to the...

Re: Masking don't work with bones!

I simulated the gradient using multiple shapes and maybe soft edge
Soft edge works! I should have thought of that. Thanks!

Re: Ranking of most system intensive features

Very interesting. I found out about masking and gradients on my own as you know, but It's very useful to learn about this reference problem. While I have yet to experience it because I'm pretty new to references, it's a bit of a phobia. I am embarking on a medical project where some shots have as ma...

Distribute and align

I can't seem to find the distribute and align functions: (ex: Distribute vertical centers, align to left edge etc...).

Most still and motion design software offer those. Perhaps a script?

Re: Masking don't work with bones!

Re: try using an image for the gradient instead of the Gradient effect. I tried using the image texture effect and came across the same issue. The smaller circle in front disappeared. Re: In general, I just ignore the display errors since they don't affect the final render. I like to see what I'm do...

Ranking of most system intensive features

As I'm diving back into Moho, and while it's a great program for some things, I am finding a few bugs and already seeing my system lagging with some operations. Therefore in order not to get stuck later on in my project that involves many moving parts, I'm wondering what are the most demanding effec...

It sucks cause without the gradient effect, there s no issue.

Re: Masking don't work with bones!

That workaround works for that simple example. But unfortunately not in my real project where the mask is actually a group composed of a base shape and another group with other shapes that are to be animated. Even if it worked, which it doesn't (perhaps because my real mask is a group), duplicating ...
