4K Quicktime PNG smooth playback?

Is anyone here able to get smooth playback? I can't even with an SSD. PNG sequence seems to be mostly smooth. Quicktime PNG plays like complete trash however in both VLC and on the Vegas timeline as well, plays best in the Quicktime player but it's still skipping a lot of frames and it looks about t...

Re: Using Moho & Crazy Talk together, separate layers = ugly gaps

Don't just split one image. Split two, the top with the split a little lower and the bottom with the split a little higher. That way you're not pushing them together to overlap. Right of course, common sense. Now why didn't I do that in the first place? I did that and also feathered the top part of...

Re: Using Moho & Crazy Talk together, separate layers = ugly gaps

1. If you work with cutouts/bitmaps, always make sure that they overlap a bit. 2. Always leave a transparent gap at the file borders. 3. Straight line need to have a blurred appearance. If you follow these points, there should be no visible lines in your renders. I saved each image with a big trans...

Re: Using Moho & Crazy Talk together, separate layers = ugly gaps

By any chance: is there one half of the face in an image file so it's cut off in the middle by the file border? In that case it's a known glitch. In a bitmap file, always leave some 1 or 2 px of transparency at the borders, and take care to not have any straight borders - always make them a bit fuz...

Using Moho & Crazy Talk together, separate layers = ugly gaps

I decided to try combining Crazy Talk & Moho to see what I could do, first I just want to show this short clip I made which I think has a kind of amusing look to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MicepRgsvo&feature=youtu.be I set out the layers in paint.net like this: https://i.postimg.cc...

Re: Dealing with different frame rates?

If the situation is that your footage is 30 fps and you want to conform that to 24 fps in your final output then, yeah, you should probably convert the footage to 24 fps and import that to Moho. Since you use Vegas, you might try the 'Smart Resample' mode. I usually have this off because it can cau...

Re: Dealing with different frame rates?

In Moho adjusting the frame rate also alters the speed of the video, but does everyone here make sure that their imported video = the same frame rate as the animation? In video editors if you use footage that has less fps than the project then you get interpolated frames added, if you put footage wh...

Dealing with different frame rates?

Probably an obvious one but i assume that any imported video into Moho needs to be the same frame rate as the animation, to avoid stutter etc after rendering? But what if the video you want to import is in a different frame rate? Not sure how people on YouTube seem to combine videos that are likely ...

Frame 0 and smart bones

Seen this posted by someone else before. But there must be others who have noticed this, if you have a bone layer and then a group layer with a vector/layer inside it, and that group is bound to a bone, your smart bone action will not work on frame 0. It animates though on frame 0 if you use transfo...

Re: MP4 export = jumpy pixels?

I haven't noticed the same (yet) if i export to png/animation and then bring it into Vegas and export as MP4 from there, only seen it happen with exporting MP4 from Moho. But yeah it's compression artefacts i guess. Actually I'm not even seeing it on an AVI x264 export from Moho either, literally ju...

MP4 export = jumpy pixels?

I have noticed something up with MP4 export directly from Moho, as an example i copied a shape from a project I'm working on to show what happens. It's not an issue for me because i can export to another format, like .mov animation or png and then take it into Vegas for editing. But I'm still curiou...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Nice i wonder what the new morphing tools are, with the current way morphing works using a mesh it's fairly easy to make mistakes and end up creating seam lines through faces/images. Can be a bit fiddly. Would be nice if they had some tools that work almost exactly like Crazy Talk for the head part,...

Re: About those cracks in strokes

Maybe it's just me but I'm seeing them (even if ever so slightly) even on rather thin strokes One of a close up with stroke width of 4 https://ibb.co/hr8wiT And one with a stroke width of 8 no zoom or anything https://ibb.co/gyuxq8 What shows also seems to depend on the camera position I've noticed,...

Re: About those cracks in strokes

My stroke size in relation to project size prevents these from being noticed. Really, this is no bug, it's a feature of all vector lines. Could you expand on that a little? Do you mean they are there, but just not really noticeable unless you go looking closely for them? I found that using another ...

About those cracks in strokes

How do people usually deal with the lines/cracks you get along nodes in strokes? Do you leave them there or do something to hide them? They disappear by turning off Anti Aliasing.

Simple examples: https://ibb.co/mfpy7d https://ibb.co/b5ac0y
