Re: Variable assignment woes

THANK YOU!!! I was going bonkers! I've seen the word switchLayer so many times in the last 12 hours trying to figure it out, it lost all meaning and just started sounding like the name of some random metal band. Turns out I had it right at one point during this effort, but was getting errors since I...

Variable assignment woes

With a switch group, I can: local layerName = moho.layer:Name() then SetSelLayer to the parent and moho.layer:SetValue((moho.frame), (layerName)) but have no idea how to manually specify layerName. It seems like it’d be as easy as local layerName = “spam”, but I’m not getting results. Do I need a fu...

Re: heyvern's old hm_switch_commander script

The script he did that I'm looking for assigns ctrl + 0-9 to each of the phonemes in a mouth switch layer. I have a ShuttlePRO V2 and want to assign a button to each sound so I can use the scrub wheel and buttons to fly through lip sync. ...that is, unless someone's finally devised a way to complete...

heyvern's old hm_switch_commander script

Does anyone have a copy of this, or know where to get it?? The link to where he kept it on the Hubu Media page is not valid anymore.

Delete large quantities of small lines?

Auto Trace often leaves small hatchmarks. The Reduce points tool doesn't help, and often, there are several hundred of these, no matter where I set the threshold on the trace tool. http://i64.tinypic.com/ekn8nk.png There must be something I'm missing. Perhaps a way to prevent it from happening in th...

Re: Advanced dangling.

Sheesh. I got a pretty good version of what I was looking to do with a single bone, binding the first point of the vector layer to it, and enabling bone dynamics.

The last point stays stationary, and the cord dangles and sways to a complete stop.

Advanced dangling.

If a string of bones pivots on origin with physics, the "rope" will dangle naturally. Is there a way to attach the tip(end) of the "rope" or "cord" to an object so the rest of the cord dangles in the middle whilst dragging the end around? For instance, corded hair trimmers, or a telephone handset, o...

Re: Disappointing expensive Moho 12 Update

I'm gonna have to be frugal for a minute to afford this, but I am completely stoked about this update, and think it's well worth the money. I would love to have seen an "introductory price", but of course, anybody would. When a new piece of musical equipment comes out, a musician is more than excite...

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

I haven't figured out how to copy all the layers in one motion. Do you have to copy each child and paste individually? If so, I feel like a script to select all child keyframes at the time of the parent selection might be a relatively simple task.

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

Selection of child/sublayer timeline keyframes. In the way that one can make a new keyframe and add keyframes to all of the sublayers, it would be amazing if one could specify a begin and end portion within the timeline, and select ALL the keyframes within that timeline including the sublayers for c...

Large Character Files

Does a large character file make a difference in render time if there are parts of the character not being used? For instance, I have a character that uses a variety of props. It's handy to have one character with a switch group that houses a hand holding a shovel, one with a hammer, one with a bott...

Re: Easy switch layer lip sync with tablets

oh holy shite. That script works like a charm! I am absolutely beside myself. There's a lot of fast talking in my scripts and this script is just NAILING it. I don't even know how to begin thanking you.

Re: Easy switch layer lip sync with tablets

Dang! It's tempting to go back and redraw all my mouths. None of them have the same number of points from layer to layer, but what you've got is badass. Your script, combined with the tablet... On a beach... I could practically do it in my sleep hahahaha.
