Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
so my guess would be that you'd been using moho without restarting it for a while??? Actually, no. As weird as it may sound. It's the pc I use for work, and I restart it every day. Before reporting the issue I had restarted and cleaned the temp files even. No other software was being used during re...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
Cool to know all that :) But I got unlucky today.. The issue came back, not sure why.. Tried unchecking that "Extra Smooth" option, but still renders with one core (trying 4k ...not even getting near 8k). Doesn't matter if you're rendering 1 png or 100. Seems like if Moho overflows his sta...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
That's cool! Can you share the steps for doing that? I don't need it right now but I might try if I run into trouble at home. Sure :) windows key + R> msconfig > Boot tab > Advanced options> Check Number of processors and change it to higher number> Make sure Maximum memory is not checked> Press ok...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
...but maybe I need to divide then even more, like rendering them limb by limb? ....that's kinda tiresome.. not even sure if it would be faster than rendering with only one core. Ugh, yeah, that would be a pain. I generally keep the character in a single Layer Comp pass, and only break out limbs wh...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
UPDATE: DId a test, rendering on the same resolution as before, but rendering a very simple animation (that involves only 5 images), and it used all 4 cores! Damn, thats actually bad ...means that it can't handle the other animations... maybe due to the ram memory (what's is so weird, since I have 3...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
In situations like this, I like to break a scene out into passes (i.e., Layer Comps) and assemble them in compositing. By limiting what the software is rendering in a given pass, you can ease up on memory and processor power requirement. I always do this for CGI and VFX animations, and often do thi...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
I've had one instance of this with very high definition renders (8k - 4320p) - I'd written it off as a memory issue -- not enough available to the render engine / whatever because multicore works for everything else (I usually only use 1080p) -- and, since this was a one-off task, I'd just bitten t...

Re: Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
Does it do this for any Moho project or just a particular one? I know the current Moho has a cap on the number of cores it will use but it should be able to handle four. It happens on all projects. Not sure why. I know that playback uses graphic card acceleration, but I'm talking about final render...

Not recognizing Multi-cores for render
Seems like I'm only being able to render using One core only.. not sure why Moho is not recognizing all of them and using 4 cores for the render.. Here's how it renders images (there's only one CPU render bar in the export window): https://imgur.com/2Enf2bs I'm using he latest Moho version. Using a ...

Re: Problem with motion blur
Old topic, but I'll share some thoughts so maybe it can help other guys trying to mess with Motion Blur. Motion Blur in Moho is kinda buggy at times. Some things get rendered wrong (parts linked with dynamic bones and Switch Layers sometimes, iirc), and I'm pretty sure it's a bug thing. I did found ...

Sub-frame Motion Blur bug - bluring the 1st frame
Hi, this is not a major issue (since I'm able to delete the 1st frame after rendering), but since it looks like a bug, I'm here reporting it. I've tested rendering the animation in mp4 and PNG sequence, and the 1st frame in the rendered animation is the frame 01 in Moho, as it should be. The problem...

Re: Sub-frame Motion Blur - not rendering Dynamic Bones
well - I've just run 3 renders to png -- one with blur on and one with blur off both multithread and one blur off single thread-- and on a frame by frame comparison the only difference I've noticed is the blur -- eyes are closed and fruit swing direction and magnitudes look to be the same. however ...

Re: Sub-frame Motion Blur - not rendering Dynamic Bones
I would need to see the file, clearly something may be going wrong for you, but that may be compounded by how Moho is being used. Like Chucky said, the file would be the easiest to troubleshoot here is the file: test tree.zip The images used come from a psd, that's also included. Thank you for the ...

yup, if I can't share the file as is, I will at least do that.synthsin75 wrote:(even if you have to delete everything except one of each element giving you problems).
I'll post the file here for analysis when I get back to work in some hours from now.
