I think that the problem can be unrealistic performance of the virtual memory. If you haven't all ready, go in and change it to the max. 4096

Changing the setting to system cache also might help.

Controlling no motion is just as important. Some times you will just add a keframe that is a starting point. Example: An arm and hand movement to the chin at frame 48. Also large image sequences can eat you memory up. AS loads each one to memory. There should be an option for just pointers on the hard drive.

For the free 3d Programs, Blender or Art of Illusion. Both require manual reading. Daz Studio has come a long way. But is no Poser. One more small tip. Place small vector layers of the same color behind the joints. That way you don't have the background showing through. Use the custom image swatch for the picking of the color by saving an image of what you are working on. I use a oval or rectangle and add just a few more points....

Most of the time they just want a leader so they have something to scroll through. The bars give the person something to look at while queuing it up.

Ask if they need correct colors.

I don't know. I just opened a file and change the setting from 1 to 72, to 1 to 4000 then change them to "start frame" 3500 to "end frame" 4000 so I could see the back end. Did a few changes; it played back just fine.

I haven't got a clue. Please post your file on a file sharing website. There are so many possibilities that if I were to answer you, I would most likely be wrong.

Also read the manual and do each tutorial, there is a learning curve. AS doesn't work as most people expect it to.

Bryce 5.5 is free. Doesn't have the plants that vue has, but some nice trees. If you just want flowers try plant studio, it is also free.
