Beware, A fishy's tale
A fishy's tale is back looking for help to animate their storyboard. I tried to help and found that the person in charge was such a micromanager and kepted assets from me so that at the pace we were going it would have taken years to finish the project. Currently they are back looking for help on Ma...

Re: The Golden Gecko's 2nd Official Selection
I have a trophy for fifth place in a vintage motocross place. Guess how many racers there were.
But I do have a trophy for a first place in a slow race on the red bike out of about 20 riders.
You win because you entered and competed.

Re: Moho to Unity3D, improved .fbx import script
I've long since given up on using fbx with Moho. The technique I use is controlling the camera. You can control the distance the camera sees. Then you make two passes one for the foreground and one for the background. After that you render out your Moho animation with some fake shadows done in Moho ...

Here is something worth watching:
Part one of four parts.
The only downside is that you need to draw with grease pencil. I have tried to import image planes but haven't work it out yet.

Re: Making a living
Years ago I was helping on a project and the girl who was lead animator was thinking about quitting. After 2 bfa's in art and animation she is still the best animator I have work with. But she was thinking about quitting. She went into restate sales. The problem is that animation is feast or famine....

I'm in one of those moods. Currently my life just sucks and I don't see it improving anytime soon.synthsin75 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 6:00 pm Kind of disturbing. Feeding the fish bits of a dead dog.
The animation is just a reflection of what I'm thinking about. I see myself as the dog.

Re: Another HeadTurn/Take animation test
Although you're keeping the volume in the squash and stretch of the entire face, but is kind of overdone in my opinion. Remember this is animation and everybody's got an opinion. If you're happy with it then it's fine. Now for some real nitpicking, the right eyebrow lifting up at the very end of the...

Re: Contemporary developments in Anime
After reading the post from Terri B. Linden I have learned that compared to the Japanese animators he lists that I suck at animation. But even some of the very best animators have a difficult time of making a living at it. Years ago I told an animator that she could keep doing the thing she loved an...

Not bad, some improvements is have idle animation. Also some people here are touchy with adult material. Give a heads up.

Re: How about rotating 2d objects in 3d space in Moho?
This probably doesn't apply here, but: There are 12 rules or principles for animation. Skip them and go with my NUMBER ONE rule. Don't move the camera!!! You might think that what is the harm if I move the camera? A lot. Everything moves when you move the camera. That almost prefect animation that y...

Re: Shadows not showing
The best way to make shadows is to duplicate the layer. Change the colors to black. Then adjust the opacity to 50 or less and use the x rotation tool to move it.
Note! Done when your happy with the animation.
