I imported a 3D object from Custom Content and the light window works on this layer.

Has anybody had trouble with the light window? I have created a cube on a 3D layer and I am trying to change the light source. When I open the light window, all the settings are grayed out as if I'm not on a 3D layer. It doesn't seem to matter what frame I'm on (frame zero or other). I can't figure ...
