Re: Transitioning from Cartoon Animator to Moho
I will second Greenlaw's suggestion for Character Animator. I use it regularly for fast-turnaround dialogue stuff (often in conjunction with MOHO) The auto-lipsync is absolutely incredible compared to other software. It has a lot of features that I suspect would be useful to you, and it's relatively...

Re: How to mirror points to create a head turn in both directions?
So the main issues as I mentioned were physics bones and bezier curves. If you only pair the head layers to a singer bone (a head bone) and no extra bones, you can just keep all the head layers in one folder and flip that in your smart bone. I haven't run into any issues doing it that way (i seem to...

Re: Moho 14. And The Rise Of AI.
So I know this thread is old and chopped up at this point but I just wanted to say two things: 1. HOPTOAD: That MohoAI bit is funny shit lol. I would totally watch that cartoon 2. I suspect most of the folks on here are in agreement- Just because AI exists doesn't mean we need to integrate it into e...

Re: How to mirror points to create a head turn in both directions?
So this doesn't do what you are asking, but it does technically work (my apologies if this has already been covered): Occasionally to speed up the process I will create a head turn in one direction, using a smart bone controller "head turn". You can then create a second smart bone "fu...

Re: Open .moho files with text editor?
Ggoblin - Thanks for that tidbit! It definetely worked! I still can't make heads or tails of the contents but it's definetely worked! I suspect that's a rabbit hole I will be happy to go through at some point- Greenlaw - I have been copy/pasting my character rig layers from scene to scene foolishly ...

Open .moho files with text editor?
I'm having issues with styles in Moho. I occasionally will build characters off of existing ones, and modify their styles to make the process quick. Problem is, even when I rename the styles, if I have two conflicting characters in a scene, it swaps out their styles for the original ones. So my ques...

Re: Target Bone and IK Issue
Thanks Synthsin! I guess I wasn't putting enough of an angle on it. Seems like it requires a large angle to lock in correctly, but I guess if I need the leg straight for any extended period I could just disable target temporarily. Simple solution - most appreciated!

Re: Target Bone and IK Issue
Thank you Synthsin and Greenlaw - I attempted both of these solutions- not sure if I am doing it correctly but I am still having the same issue. In this video I demonstrate what the method of bending the thigh bone on frame 1, which still results in the leg moving on its own. I then attempted to cha...

Target Bone and IK Issue
Happy New Year everyone- I have been running into an issue lately with target bones and wanted to post something here to see if anyone had any insights. I find that with more complicated rigs, target bones behave kinda choppy and unwieldy. So my first question is do ya'll have any tips to make a tar...

Re: Procreate to Moho best practices
I wouldnt be surprised if it had to do with the fact that every layer has advanced blending modes enabled. I'm not sure how to turn that off, but I know I have had issues in the past (seldomly) with transparencies and alpha in imported bitmap images. I know Procreate has a weird way of doing this wh...
