Re: Moho 12

Vern, it's great to see you back! I don't have much time to write here now, but I hope everything is going well with you! Things are... er... well... borderline "okay". Work is a bit slow. I kind of set aside my obsession with Anime Studio for a bit, but it's looking exciting again. v12 looks like ...

Re: Moho 12

@Mike As far as the name goes, Moho was around first, so I think it's only fair to use that name again... Well, for many of us who used and loved Moho... "Anime Studio" was always "Moho". Like if you were good friends with a celebrity long before they changed their name and became famous... you wil...

Re: Moho 12

OH MY GOD! I am... thrilled? Surprised? At the name change. I think it's smart based on the "baggage" that comes with the term "Anime". It does make people confused... those who have never used it. I mentioned "Manga Studio" to someone who is very very familiar with Anime studio... their first quest...

Re: Importing PSD file with layers

It has to do with using unsupported features of Photoshop for import into ASP. Do NOT use vector layers or layer masking in your photoshop document. These are two off hand that I recall. However, all is not lost! You can easily get around this limitation by turning any layers that have those unsuppo...

Re: Layer by layer Rendering/Exporting

There is no way to select individual folders for each comp or batch file render in the list. There is just one folder selection available for all batch renders, but you can load the same Anime Studio file more than once (one for each comp) and it will name the comp renders based on the comp name. If...

Re: Layer by layer Rendering/Exporting

I use the Layer Comps feature (it's in the layer palette. Last icon on the right top.). It does require some set up but it's quite effective. You create a layer comp for each "layer" render. In the batch out put you can select layer comps from the same file to do multiple renders. The beauty of laye...

Re: how many points to use

Yes, I agree as well that your files are probably AI or Flash conversions. I've seen content provided as "Anime Studio" format when in reality the barest minimum of effort was made to simply import/convert pre-existing Adobe Illustrator/Flash content to Anime Studio. Basically importing raw files wi...

Re: Frame by Frame animation?

I checked out your file and couldn't find any bones. Is it possible to use bones first and then adjust points Later? If so, this could be very useful. Asd I said earlier, You could do the heavy lifting with bones, then do one or more passes of point animation on top! I am working on a video tutoria...

Re: Can someone help me with my mistake

I think you should read up on Smart Bones and use them for this project. They use actions just like the ones you have created. You just need to create bones with the same name as the actions to "control" them. Plain normal actions are sort of limited. They are useful for having some complex animatio...

Re: Instances of Silent Morality-Critiques critically needed

Pacing and editing... sooooo important. Unless you need to "pad" or add time for a specific purpose or requirement... don't... actually there is no reason to add in filler for ANY reason. I know your story is more... dramatic than comedic, but check out this video. It is VERY short, it has ALMOST fa...

Re: Flip bones horizontal and vertical

I am still working on the forum topic to update all those links and images. For security purposes we deactivated direct downloads on our website. I need to update the links to file downloads. Here is a link to download the Copy and Flip Bones script. Copy Flip Bones Download Page I think it will fli...

Re: Smoother background scrolling?

Noted, thanks a bunch. I'll try and report back. EDIT:!! Actually the background is a textured vector graphic so I don't have that tap in the layer options. Hmm... I don't have any suggestions for that except to use an image layer instead (with a mask if needed). Basically an image texture is the s...
