No I don't think so. The version is "most likely" tied to the platform you bought it "for". It is so much cheaper to have just one disk, one box. Put both on one disk and then the serial number will determine what platform it can install on. Well, when you order the physical ver...

One thing puzzles me though. Do you get a dual platform license when you buy the physical version?

There hasn't been a "typical Flash look" for years. Check out Adam Phillips or Bernard Derriman if you want proof of that. A few exceptions don't mean the vast majority of Flash animations still suffer from that typical look. No-one here said this student film is the first time someone ma...

Mmm, I think what Slowtiger is trying to point out is that this guy has managed to let his art rise above the tool. Specially the monster has a remarkable amount of personality and is really gracefully animated. Nowhere do you see the typical Flash look creeping in. Also, it's worth remembering ther...

What about the usage of multi-cpu workstations? I have a quadcore and it would be cool to be able to use the four cores at the same time when use the command line render. -G Well, I have been able to multiply the render speed on my quad core machine by almost factor 4 simply by running multiple ver...

Yup, it's really just a pretty interface for the command line renderer with some added automatic directory creation.

Announcing: OS X Batch Renderer

I created this little batch renderer. Feel free to download it and let me know what you think. AS Batch Renderer 0.8 Requirements: - It's 10.5 only. I can't test it on a PPC, so I'm not too sure what it will do on that platform. I have only tested it with AS Pro 5.6. Features: - Can render both file...

but then Illustrator's booleans and knife tools more than make up for that. In fact, these are the things I miss more than anything when going to ASP.

Just started playing around with the demo. A few first impressions. There are definitely performance issues. Mind you, the same was true for version 5.0, subsequent updates addressed those problems, so I'm not too worried for now. Like others here, I'm not too sure about the auto-hide for channels. ...

Okay Vern. You're going to have to stop gushing about scripting now. Any gushing from now on has to be about the other new features. Tracking, morph-targets, workflow enhancements... take your pick.

Can't be bothered to read the whole thread. Just thought I'd give my angle on this whole Apple vs PC debate. A few years ago, my old G4 was ready to be replaced. Should I go Mac or PC? I decided to find out how much I would save by buying a PC. So I went to the Dell website and got myself a quote fo...

What exactly are we looking at here? Are there some new features in particles? Either way, that looks pretty good to me.

Oy Barry, shouldn't you be practising on some other software? :D Can't blame you though.

Oh and ASP 6 wont be released for another few days, so no need to feel left out. There isn't an official new feature list at the moment either, so no news on any possible timeline enhancements.
