Thanks. Seems to be the last word on the subject. Guess I should just learn to draw better!

Thansk for the help. Once I posted I realized that my example was too simple to explain what I really want to do. Let's try something closer to what I have in mind: Frame 1 a drawing of an elephant. Frame 10 a drawing of a house. I know I could move vectors around between frames 1 and 10 to achieve ...

auto morpher?

Does anyone know of some 2D animation software that will do auto-inbetweening?

Like I draw a circle on frame 1, and a square on frame 10, and the software calculates all the inbetweens (frames 2-9)

Does anyone have the capability to create this program?

Swift 3D

Swift 3D is a renderer. If you use 3d Studio Max or Lightwave, you can plug Swift 3d into that software, Swift will allow you to render your 3-D file out as a picture that looks like it is a 2D Flash image. I don't own it either, but it's pretty cool. I use 3D Studio Max and a toon renderer called I...

Well of course the content should dictate the technique. But one can't deny that full animation reveals more character than limited animation. And one thing that is necessary for full animation is the capability to turn a character 360 degrees in space. This is difficult to do in Moho. Moho is great...

3D takes a lot of set up time, but once you've got your characters modeled and rigged, the animation process is faster than say, 2D animation drawing one frame at a time. But the set up takes a lot of perserverance. Moho is terrific in that it gives you the best of both worlds. You can animate faste...

"What about Muppet Babies?" Well, like I said, it was a theory among development people, not some kind of hard and fast rule. I thought the tone of my post made that clear. For the record, there are no hard and fast rules in the TV development business. I think the case can be made that th...

I think the trailer shows what the DVD is. People in trouble, baby angels to the rescue. If a trailer is supposed to sell you a particular plot or story, this "Preview trailer" doesn't do that. It is really more of a commercial than a trailer. I mean, I don't get a sense of what the partic...

Often I will create an animation, render it as a quicktime, and then squash and stretch the quicktime .mov using bones. Gives me a kind of psychedelic effect. Just one more trick in the toolbox.

Lookin' good indeed. Now that you've got the major animation done, are you planning to animates the eyes? The eyes looking down to where the cat is jumping would be a good idea, and perhaps squinting because of the effort it takes to jump. That would add a bit more realism. As they say, "the ey...

I think it sounds like a good idea.
Originality and rights aren't a problem -- unlike the world of audio sampling, people can modify any visual files to their heart's content.

Personally, i'd love it if people uploaded a character's entire rig to the site.

That was really good. Tracking in on the monster helps the drama.
I'm always amazed and encouraged by the cool things people do with Moho.
Thanks!
