Re: First touch with Moho

Before tackling something like that, you'll probably want to work through the tutorials in the Help>Tutorials menu. Once you're familiar with the draw and fill tools and the style window options, it should be pretty straight forward to trace a source image.

Re: What the...?

Yeah, I would advise everyone to stick with v12.5. 13 has several severe problems and no sight of any fixes on the horizon.

Re: Tool idea for an easy 2.5D.

Man, a year or two ago I was wracking my brain trying to do the same thing, with the same sort of 2.5D vector construction. I was close to what you've got, but never thought to have the bones translate across the stretching guide bones. Great job, man.

Re: Action point movement quirk

Good to hear. Once you've moved some points on a frame, the quick way to make sure all points are keyed is to just double-click the all point motion channel keyframe. This does the same as right-click>Add keyframe.

Re: Action point movement quirk

Without seeing any pictures or file, I'd guess it's the beziers. They don't always interpolate as expected.

Personally, I only use beziers for static art.

Re: Action point movement quirk

And these aren't controlled by smart bones?

"Bevels"? Is that curvature, beziers, or something else?

Re: Action point movement quirk

Makes sure all points are keyframed in the action. Any not keyframed will allow odd interpolations from previous key.

Re: Tutorial - How to morph two faces in Moho

Waaa. That looks cool. Did you use the same 'two meshes' technique? Yep, one mesh morphed from one image to the other, duplicated, and copied the end frame to frame zero for one. I did something similar, years ago, using bones to morph the images, but meshes work way better. If I spent more time wi...

What a coincidence. I just did this exact thing yesterday.

I'd probably have to see the file. Don't need the images.

Re: scaling group when using sketchy effect

I think normalize layer scale only works with scale compensation enabled.

You might try this script, to check if keyframes hidden in the negative timeline are the culprit: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtop ... 12&t=32714

Re: Moho limitations

For example, I just realized that by making a bone folder and by transforming it into a switch folder, and that I was putting my elements to control in a sub-folder, it is impossible for me to have access to my bones in this sub-folder. They are simply invisible. Seems like an oversight from when t...

Re: Isolate a video image to put into an animation

In Moho, you might be able to use video tracking to track a layer to mask the face. And then you could use point animation to refine the mask shape.

Re: Tool idea for an easy 2.5D.

That helps. It wasn't clear that the circle/oval was the possible range when animated. Changing from pure rotation, to a mixture of rotation and scale, and then to pure scaling when centered.
