Re: Sort the layer

Sometimes you can group parts of the body into separate sorting groups, especially since nested bone control was added, but even this won't cover every possible combination. If that's not good enough, you may need to do your layer sorting in the main timeline. Or maybe even mix grouped action layer ...

The project size is not unusual, so what's the content? Do I guess correctly that you have a lot of imported bitmaps in that project?
77kb moho file. Using image (2560*1440) sequences (hundreds of images) with masks and other effects.
Ah, you're likely running out of RAM.

Re: High quality render error

Since you're doing an image sequence anyway, you might try rendering smaller arts of the animation separately.

Re: Cost of upgrade to Moho Pro 13?

If anything, I'd want to upgrade to 12.5 Pro, as v13 has problems. But since SM no longer sells v12, you'd probably have to pick it up on Amazon or somewhere.

Re: combining switch Lipsync head bone rig

So the switch layers work, but they just don't follow the head bone?

If so, you need to layer bind them to the head bone.

Re: tie bones to switch layers

Smart bones also do not allow switch layers to interpolate. It's often better to have snappier lip sync, but something to keep in mind, like if you plan to animate singing.

Re: Get a stroke applied to a single line?

Add points only creates a stroke when you close the line, by manually or automatically welding the end. You'd need to use the create shape tool to make a stroke on a two-point add points line.

Re: Some questions about the window layout

If you have Debut 12.5, you should also be able to dock the keyframe window.
If I remember correctly, you need at least Moho Pro 12 or 12.5 to dock the actions window.

Re: First touch with Moho

Before tackling something like that, you'll probably want to work through the tutorials in the Help>Tutorials menu. Once you're familiar with the draw and fill tools and the style window options, it should be pretty straight forward to trace a source image.

Yeah, I would advise everyone to stick with v12.5. 13 has several severe problems and no sight of any fixes on the horizon.

Re: Tool idea for an easy 2.5D.

Man, a year or two ago I was wracking my brain trying to do the same thing, with the same sort of 2.5D vector construction. I was close to what you've got, but never thought to have the bones translate across the stretching guide bones. Great job, man.

Re: Action point movement quirk

Good to hear. Once you've moved some points on a frame, the quick way to make sure all points are keyed is to just double-click the all point motion channel keyframe. This does the same as right-click>Add keyframe.

Re: Action point movement quirk

Without seeing any pictures or file, I'd guess it's the beziers. They don't always interpolate as expected.

Personally, I only use beziers for static art.
