thanks for your input MK,

I just created a PNG from AS. I brought it into FCP. I'm using it in a DV timeline (the finished product is for YouTube).
Inside FCP it is visually identical to the quicktime version of the same animation.

lip sync in AS not as good as in PapaG

Howdy,
I thought I did a pretty good job of getting the lip sync right in PapaG.
Inside AS however it doesn't look as good. It requires a bit of re-tweaking.
Is it just me or is there something lost between PG & AS?
I'm a newB on a Mac if that helps.
Thanks,
Craig

FYI I've only been animating for two weeks. try some codec like "animation" or"PNG". ST, How do I export in Animation codec? I don't see that as one of my options. Also what's the deal with "batch export"? Will that serve me in my workflow? I've got 27 ten second scenes. My strategy is to make 27 pr...

Thanks, gentlemen. Will do. I resisted them because I'm not familiar with the set up in FCP for Animation or PNG codecs. I was also concerned about having additional renders in the FCP timeline using those codecs. Nonetheless I'm grateful for your advice and will follow it dutifully. funks, you rais...

Yea, thanks.
I don't think that's the issue.
I'm thinking AS is outputting inferior codec.
AS says DV but it's not compatible.
I ran it through Qtime player and converted it there. Now it plays fine.

quicktime export is squished and off-center in Final Cut

Hi, My strategy is to edit the animation w/music together in Final Cut Pro. When I export out of AS I use quicktime > dv ntsc > high quality > interlaced. In the Quicktime player the video looks fine. But when I open it in Final Cut it's squished and off-center by maybe 5%. I checked all the FCP set...

Never mind, got fixed. ..though not sure how.

thanks, Mr MK.
I think I just got it figured out.. sort of.
I mean all I did was unparent and reparent the bone (to the same torso bone) and now it seems to be fine.
I don't know but it just now got resolved.

newB's head comes off

Hello All, I have a character made up of individual images. I have all the bones working right accept for one: the head bone (a group layer). The head becomes detached when I move the torso. Let me tell you more about the head. The head is the only part that is not just a plain image. It's a group l...

Thanks as always gentlemen. HeyVern, I suspect your Mac System and mine differ. I've been doing desktop television production (broadcast, cable & network) for 10 years (albeit not animation). I can't imagine anyone working extensively with PG the way it currently works on my Mac G5 OS vers.10.4.11. ...

The audio file is only 8 seconds long. Bottom line is PG doesn't work well for me on the Mac. I'm so glad I also have access to a PC (Vista). From a Mac perspective: Papagayo is a weak link in an otherwise terrific AS workflow. It appears to have as many workarounds as it has functions working prope...

Thanks. My experience differs however. I just couldn't take it anymore on the mac so I'm trying PG on my PC (Vista). Papagayo actually WORKS on the PC! Hooray. (I hope the files transfer back to my mac ok.) Among other things PapaGayo would benefit from a disclaimer about not working well on Mac. Th...

can't get the words to extend the length of the audio

Hi Again,
I'm unable to get the words to extend the length of the audio.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
