Problems with papag. Same on Mac & PC?

Hi All, I'm new to PapaG & animation in general. I'm on a mac. Is papaG better on PC? Or is it finicky on both platforms. Will it run fine on Vista? If so will the files be compatible back to my mac? I find PapaG has exciting potential. I wish I could realize it on my computer. The problem I'm c...

Just sharing - no problem, no question.

Hi All, I'm totally new to these animation shenanigans. I have considerable experience with Mac / Final Cut Pro and Video production in general however. I just wanted to share that I'm really liking this AS software and the support I've received from this forum. The AS tutorials are great too. About...

can't open projects

Hi,
This forum is very helpful; thanks.

Once saved, I cannot reopen projects in Papagayo. They're greyed out. It's like a one-way road from P to AS.

I'm on a Mac OS 10.4.11.

Thanks,
Craig

lip sync shorter than soundtrack

Hi, I'm new to character animation and lip sync. I'm doing the lip sync tutorial in AS (w/Papagayo). I did "Bushisms". Two problems. Firstly Papagayo doesn't automatically save the exported voice with ".dat" extension. So I need to enter ".dat" manually. It says "F...

That totally worked. I never did that "show package contents" before. Awesome.
So those are jpgs.
I'm doing cut out work of photos. I guess I'll be using png or psd layers?

Hey Vern,

HeyVern,
This is not the case on my mac. In fact there's no Mouth FOLDER per se. "Mouth.moho" is a file.
I appreciate any guidance you or anyone else can offer.
Thanks,
Craig

Thanks, HV. Now I have a good idea how to fashion my mouths. But it also brings up a new question. On my mac, the Papagayo folder contains a file called "Mouths.moho" (along with the App and Tutorial folder) . "Mouths.moho" doesn't open in anything but AS: not in Photoshop, not G...

Is there a list of mouth images w/corresponding phonemes

Hi There.

I'm brand new to animation.
Is there a list of images of what each mouth is supposed to look like (next to each's corresponding phoneme) exactly appropriate to Papagayo / AS?

I'm preparing a cut out animation.

Thanks,
Craigar
