Re: Making animation look crisp on a television screen

... or just the resolution?
What kind of settings have you used for exporting (or even final editing) and on what kind of screen you`re previewing this dvd? The same image on a huge tv screen with a low resolution would not look the same when shown on a high-res monitor ,)

1. Do you have GPU acceleration* (un)checked?
2. Why is your mask above the masked layers?

Re: Stylit convert 3D object into a hand drawn style drawing

Your comment made me look through their full (patented) paper. "The deep neural network approach of Gatys et al. [2015] strongly depends on visual patterns used during the training phase. In our scenario this approach completely fails (Fig. 10h); without proper guidance it is impossible to recover a...

Re: Stylit convert 3D object into a hand drawn style drawing

I`ve seen a 3D still life scene (fruits, baskets, cloths...) on which some style from StyLit was applied. Looks great but than again, no details on "How it`s made" ,)

Re: How can I expand the entire animation?

Another option could be A - time remapping in Video editing sw. Export the animation and then try to fine tune the timing. B - to change the frame rate in animation (lower or higher), select ALL keyframes and then use Alt+click for fine tuning again. Both of those would depend on your style and if t...

Re: How can I expand the entire animation?

It is possible but due to the mentioned a lot of layers, you might need a big screen to expand the timeline and to do it properly. The easiest way would be to select all layers containing the animation and then to select the required group of keys on the timeline. Dragging the selected keys (left cl...

Re: Stylit convert 3D object into a hand drawn style drawing

This one (since there is a lot more these guys have done) is very interesting but I have not figured out how to actually apply it!? Have you? p.s. Does anybody know how to make aquarelle convincingly animated, preferably in 2D? Mesh would, more or less, solve the mapping/texturing but StyLit offers ...

Re: image interpolation setting?

^ The same thing crossed my mind. Here`s the video (not sure about the topic here, on the forum) H_Sy5AUObso Still, these sharp corners might not look the same when rendered. If so, there should be an option for fine or higher quality for raster images (sorry, forgot the actual description) which sh...

Re: Problem posting a certain GIF to forum

Obviously, I`ll need to refresh my uploading routines so I took a closer look at your gif. There is ~ 14.5 sec of animation, 243 frames - alas fr is 16.667? I`m pretty much sure that size (px`s nor kb`s) or bit depth are not an issue but perhaps that fr could be the reason why it did not work. I`m a...

Re: Frame 0 more distinct

Not sure about the size/width of the frame 0 but perhaps it could be always visible as a part of the timeline UI? Just like any other fixed section of the timeline. This way, even going back and forth might be avoided?! This is just a quick draft depicting the idea where colors, shapes, width and st...

Re: Should I Purchase a Drawing Tablet?

What kind of 2D animation are you working on ("This crap takes forever.")?

If you`re comfortable with pens and papers (common physical media) - buy the first tablet you can afford. It would soon pay for itself.
If you`re not, it would most certainly not make you any faster.

I did not watch the videos either since you wrote some contradictions previously... draining process and free, i.e. I`m under the impression you`d want (need) to watch these prior to further posting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WApcUBcVMos and, of course, this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
