You can do what you want in almost any drawing software, even free software such as Gimp. It doesn't take long as you simply copy the character layer several times and erase the parts you don't need. Personally I always prefer to create my character's in Anime Studio as I believe this to be more ver...

What do you mean by scrambled? If you shift select all the layers and drag them into the bone layer they should be in the correct layer order as originally created.

Ruscular3D - Hash is great. I got on with it immediately and love it. The character shading is all layer effects in AS. I find it works well but I know some don't like it.
