Hi Rasheed . yeah the tablet is just for meetings n stuff . I certainly could'nt go without my desktop with the wacom and all, even without the direct contact with the screen (which is sooo good). I think that tablets have been on the whole designed for and marketed to entirely wrong crowd (real est...

yep,, looks like we have to allow some tolerance for the new image textures. It's still pretty good , though, methinks.

Yeah , that's what I thought, and my image layer matches my vector image, and when I export animation it matches, for a split second and the image is suddenly replaced by a non matching version which is just slightly out of whack. When I play the rendered file it seems the image texture is fractiona...

hi synthsin ,well here's the thing, it's getting the texture to land where I want it to like in Rasheeds example, I'm gonna mucha around some more with it but it doesn't seem to be an exact science when it comes to applying the texture accurately.there must be a trick I haven't found yet.

Image Textures in 5.6

:?:
From Rasheed
"..So, when are we going to see those textured vector animations? It is now fairly easy to do."
So... I am wondering what I'm doing wrong, I just get the same results in the new version.
I can't see any new texture options, or menus, I must be a little dim I think

Phew , finally an answer, I've been looking for ages and with the search out of order I was dumbfounded. I always mistakenly thought , this artifact was created when lines where joining from opposite end and not flowing in the same direction.- Like how similar issues happen in apps like animation ma...

and one more thing......

Can you post swf's here? If this doesn't work I'll delete the post........ http://charleskenway.com/goodies/dinochook.swf Oh well it's a link, that'll do. notice my rubbishy line joins, it's hard to keep attentive to that construction detail, it would be nice to have a visual clue to when line don't...

recycle

HI Slowtiger, you are right about importing the skeleton and reusing it, I thought maybe 'Empty' might have been expecting a similar thing to how it works in other programs such as 3d apps and that a different approach is necessary in Anime, so that's why put it that way. Here is my DINOCHOOK with r...

Well said

Nice, Slowtiger, yeah that's sounding like the same method in essence, but better worded, more coherent and probably more flexible too . I like the switch trick, esp when in a bind. But you can paste the shapes of one character in place of another character and delete the old shapes, so it is more l...

tricky

:( You're probably not going to like this but although it is possible to do what you say it's important to have previously built your cycles as actions. Then you import the anime model and its actions will come too. Then you copy and past the vectors of your desired shapes onto the skeleton which ha...

Ohoh , watch out.

It will have to be an EPS not an AI if I remember correctly. Also you will find the curves don't come out the same and various other annoyances. Yo are better off importing the image as a rasterized image and tracing it. I like anime for drawing more than illustrator but it takes a deep breath when ...

right click.

Hi just go to the cycle point and right click on the arrow that points backward indicating the cycle, then select one of the other options like smooth. I normally do cycles as an action, try opening the action window and getting started with that concept, it can be very useful, and you can use a ref...

should be straight forward?

try making a layer visibility on point anywhere on the timeline in the layer visibility timeline and copy/paste it at the start of the timeline. Then copy and paste it before the off point (make sure you're on the right layer though)Then shift the bogus point out of the way or just try and delete aga...
