First of let me make a correction... ... I am "new" with Moho... ... I have been doing graphic design and illustration on the computer for... uh... 12 years? 15? When did the first version of Adobe Illustrator come out? I first used v2... something of AI. I used v2.0 or 2.5 of Photoshop... I still h...

Well... keep in mind I am a fairly new user... so there is the stupid mistake time factor ... there is also the obsessive compulsive it has to be perfect tweak for hours unnecessarily time factor. I was also experimenting up the wazoo (technical term) with how to do it. I spent a lot of time dealing...

"layer blending" for shapes on a layer

It would be great to be able to have those ink effects for shapes within a layer.

Like having one shape multiply on top of another shape that is screen on the same layer.

This would be useful. I am going to look at the source of one of my files to see if this could be done "by hand" with a text editor... ... unless someone has written a script already to do this. One of the situations I encountered recently involved bones on a switch layer. I had created a bone layer...

Ugh! I feel kind of silly... a little silly. I feel like I have been walking around all day with my fly open... I have been jumping through hoops using the gradient effect and never even tried to use the shaded effect! Woohoo! I like it! I have gone a different direction now with the style of this g...

Shadows on the face are several layers. The shadows are filled with white. Then a gradient effect which is white at one end and alpha is zero. The other end of the gradient is a slightly darker color than the base skin tone. I adjust the alpha to vary the darkness of the shadow on each shape. Then t...

It may be an "ancient" issue but it is still a very severe bug. Even if you are aware of not accidentally modifying a shape fill by mistake on another keyframe... it sometimes happens... When it does it creates a huge problem. I have had to delete and redo about 10 gradient fills so many times in th...

your method to greyscale layers i have thought of but wouldnt give the true greyscale colour to its before colour... Any chance you could explain what you mean? This should work perfectly to create grayscale and be able to animate it. You could even play around with using a copy of the color versio...

Not exactly a workaround... but... I have been doing something like this in a separate file and importing it. You still have to move imported copies into position but if you put it in a group or bone group you can just slide the layer around or master bone around after import. Like I said... not a p...

I did that on purpose to demonstrate the problem. I keyed the angle and colors of the gradient at various points in the timeline. Once you do this... you're kind of up the creek... you can never ever delete those keys once they are created. If you create a shape and never touch any of the effects in...

Gradient key frame problem

I am using the Mac version of Moho. Version 5.3.1 My gradient effects get keyed somehow. There is no way to delete the keys and they don't show up in the time line. It starts out fine... I thought it was fixed in the last update but they keep coming back when I copy and paste vector shapes. Removing...

Consistent layer blending within groups...

This would be a god send. Currently layer blending (screen, multiply, etc) does not effect layers "below and outside" of its group the same as inside of the group. The group layer blending "over rides" the layer blending of the sub layers... sort of. For instance. For a face I have a gradient fill o...

Never mind!

Pretty sure it is fixed with the 5.3.1 update. Seems to be anyway.

Color and gradient get "key frame"... but I can't

Sometimes I accidentally change a shape color or shape effect like modifying the gradient, when I am not on frame 0. This somehow puts a key frame on that attribute later in the animation where I don't want it and for the life of me I can't figure out which of the view setting icons for the timeline...
