The hair was done originally with brushes (the above image). I have since removed the brush effect and kept it simple with just "wiggly" vectors. Speeds up render I think and looks just as good. (image below). http://www.lowrestv.com/misc_images/ouch1.jpg I am using "noisy lines" and "extra lines" s...

Old character... new life in Moho

I was going to create this short using 3D... but... I love 3D and I know it would have turned out great... But I find working in 2D so much faster with quicker results. I had original created animatics for this and found that I could just "reuse" them in Moho. This is still early stages of this char...

I appoligize if this is a common technique... ... but I have been putting my "painterly vector stuff" on a separate layer above the main "shape". For instance I use a soft edge fill effect on highlights and shadows. I would draw shapes on the main "body" like an arm for the highlight and shadow. All...

I love it! This is just what I was talking about when I posted about "all vectors". I keep getting this "vibe" that Moho somehow isn't capable of "complex painterly" effects without using images. I strongly disagree. Plus with vector art... resolution independent! I love that. If my work ever needs ...

Decided to do some lip synch testing. I am really digging that Papagayo! I have all the mouth shapes memorized now... piece of cake.... well... relatively. It isn't a final rendering... her right hand goes "under" her dress for a moment (oops! Layer management!) and her knees are a bit "shaky" from ...

One of my first "tests" - Now she talks

I thought I would post this since I read something here about Moho's lack of "drawing" tools for vector based "painterly" effects. I did this back when I first purchased Moho. It was derived from Illustrator files. The basic shapes were drawn in Illustrator imported and "cleaned up". She was origina...

Nice work. Very cute dragon. The head turn is absolutely perfect. The only thing I might suggest... is in regards to his hand gesture when he waves... It looks like a hand gesture I see on the highway when I inadvertently cut someone off... if you follow me. Considering his cute nature and the poten...

Tiny bug - Mac OS - copy/paste requires "command + shif

I am posting this in a separate thread just so it gets noticed specifically. I found I can only paste text into Papagayo by adding the "shift" key modifier to the key board copy/paste shortcut... "command + shift + c" will copy. "command + shift + v" will paste This is the latest 1.1 version... it w...

Important discover!!!

HA! To copy and paste in Papagayo I must use: command(apple key) + shift + c or v to copy paste!!!!!!!!! The command key by itself does not work! The edit menu commands DO NOT WORK... I must include the SHIFT key with copy paste by key command. Have I gone into a strange universe? Am I in bizzaro wo...

No, This doesn't work for me. I have tried using MS Word, Text Edit... Appleworks... Jedit... BBedit... etc... I have tried copy and paste via the key board... menu... I have copied and pasted from one application to another... from a saved text file etc... I also do not get a contextual menu in Pap...

I do find it tough when trying to line up keyframes from multiple layers or relatively line them up... or... just know where the heck something moves so I can relate to it physiologically. What about something "simple" to start with like... markers in the timeline that could be seen from all layers?...

Hugs and kisses for Lost Marble...

I am so sorry but I must do this. I have purchased many many applications over the years. Most software companies lie lie lie lie and then lie some more. Very rarely does the promise of the product live up to the reality. The burger you buy never looks like the picture on the menu. Lately I have bee...

Mac OS... Paste spoken words from another application?

I have found that it is impossible to paste the spoken words text into Papagayo from another application on the Mac like text edit or MS Word. Is this just me? Just to be clear... this is not a really big deal... ... At first I was very sad then discovered it is a piece of cake to just open a "blank...
