Just to clarify the split mouth technique in case anyone is wondering. The way this works is: There is a center axis that the two scale rotating bones work on. To get a perfect rotation on each side the model must consist of basically two halves or points that you can divide/select down the centre. ...

Hi Genete. I think this is a bug. I tried adding bones into the switch layer but nothing happens either??? Re: two halves of the mouth. IT IS SO EASY TO DO!!!! You simply animate one half as you would a whole mouth. hen you're finished you simply copy and mirror the other half :) Don't worry about m...

Hey vern. I simply split the mouth into two halves and switch layers, left and right then parented each layer to the left and right control bones.

REPOST
I did not have to add any extra bones after all :) The mouth switch
layers are parented to the original control bones. The less bones the better :)

Vern. I don't mind in the least if you make some money out of this. I would love to see your characters available on Content Paradise featuring this rig. My passion is to have a standard 3D model engine available for everyone to use. One that is simple for the likes of me to understand. Imagine how ...

Hi Genete. This is fantastic! I'm sure what we are working on here will become the definitive engine for 2.5D modelling in Anime Studio. This is something I have been wanting to see for years in Anime Studio. Well done! :) I would also like to officially name this new technique the "Scale-Turn&...

Thanks for the feedback Amiga. I think as things develop this will get even more powerful as a 3D head turning solution using a minimal bone setup. I will leave adjusting the tutorial till the technique is a little more settled. I have no problem with sharing. I hate it when people post ideas then s...

Hmmm. I don't know what happened there. I've reposted the files. Here is the anme file. http://www.wienertoonz.com/DK3DHead2.anme As you can see the two child bones are now placed on the y axis above and below each other. This allows perfect rotation for each side of the face on the y axis (not like...
