I get the same problem here. Bone animation doesn't seem to work at all inside switch layers for me. I've just tried V 4 and it seems to. Must be a brand new v5Bug :( This may or may not help but here is a quote from Lostmarble regarding the fact that switch layers are now a subset of bone layers: S...

Hi Jason: It has all changed mate. You can now draw on any frame not just on frame one so we now need different shortcut keys: Alt backspace = delete Alt c = copy Alt v =paste Alt x = cut (I think this is right but I only have beta2 on the machine I'm on at the minute and these features were broken ...

Blimey! that was unexpected it actually does look interesting and from Disney no less. Not sure I'm going to buy Home on the range though. I think the future of 2d has to be more stylised. When I was drawing 'traditional' type animation I was really trying to draw things in 3d. Nowadays 3D animation...

moving hierarchies in time
when I try to reuse animation I seem to spend untold hours moving keyframes in time and then even more hours moving nested keys. AAAAAAAgk! Maybe some upgrade to the retime feature whereby you select the start and end frames (With no stretching) and Moho would do all the tedious messing about for yo...

Copying animation from timeline into actions
Yup.
That's what I want to be able to do. Copy/cut some animation from my main timeline into its own action. This would of course make me more attractive to the opposite sex and greatly help in my quest for world domination. I also have a feeling that it may make my hair grow back.

Acutally, I've had this problem without dynamics. I had a character with locked feet and it ended up tapdancing! I originally created the scene in V4 and didnt seem to have the same problem. It still existed even when I tried to key all the bones. I eventually ended up re animating without locking. ...

Bone Scaling.
It would be REALLY handy to be able to scale bones in 'X' as well as the 'Y' dimension.

Colour picking.
I would like to be able to pick colours from the swatch for the line and effects and not just the fill as it stands at the moment. It gets pretty tiring very quickly having to write down the rgb values of a fill so that I can have the line the same colour, (so that I can have a coloured fill with a ...

How about an option in project settings like depth of field except that objects are tinted with a user definable colour as they get further from the camera.
a lot of 3d apps have this and it is used to great affect.

I guess so too. I get no joy at all with Flash 5 but the 30 day demo of MX2004 works fine. Drat! I had hoped not to have to shell out £200 for a Flash upgrade packed with stuff I don't need and tools that are basically the same as the ones I already have. There is no stopping 'progress' I suppose. :?
