Re: How to make Snow in AS
Well this is embarrassing......well not really embarrassing more of a revelation to me! LOL! As I've posted a few videos on making particle effects, it has now been brought to my intention (again) that there is also a particle effect for hot ash (like hot embers I made above) also included within An...

How to make randomly flickering lights!!
This tutorial is for anyone who wants to create randomly flickering lights in anime studio. All you need to do is create two separate pieces of artwork (this can even work for photos) and use a smart bone to turn one of the layers on and off randomly. It may not seem easy at first, but once you lear...

How to make Snow in AS
Hi all, Here is another quick tutorial on how to make snow in AS Pro using particle effects. You just need a version of AS Pro that has particle effects (I can't remember what version it was introduced) and a few minutes to make this effect. It might seem complex but it's really easy to do and easy ...

Re: Animal characters with lots of custom brush work
Dude.... All I can say is Awesome......awesome to the max!!! What makes this animation cool to me is that it is unique and stylized. I don't really care about the technical aspects of it, I just really enjoy if for what it is. It's beautiful! A lot of times you can tell when something it made in AS ...

Happy New Year! Living to the Extreme!
Ooo man! Haven't posted in a long time...I keep wanting to make more tutorials and animations but just haven't. My new years resolution is to be more active in the AS community and make more tutorials for people! For now though here is a really quick animation which accurately sums up my xmas break....

Noisy effect isn't rendering.?
So I'm using the noise settings on a character but when I render the animation out layers that are contained in groups don't render the effect. The only time the effect is visible is when I preview it in the work window. I would just use the sketchy effect but you cannot control the amount of noise ...

SWF export with effects? Transparent background export??
I've come across this problem before but I wanted to see if there have been any improvements that anyone knows about when exporting swf files. I would love to use swf files on my website (a wix website) as the file sizes are super tiny and I can scale them to any size without having to worry about t...

How do I create a keyframe for a color?
I'm working on my character creator and I want to switch the color of an assigned style (skin color) immediately within the span of one frame within the main timeline. I was able to do it with one color style I have because it already had a fill shape keyframe in the first frame but I honestly don't...

Re: Need help Masking a PSD
Hi Spectral Warrior, You're right, you can do this in AS but as you suspected it can be rather difficult. Since you have photoshop I would suggest breaking the character apart in photoshop as well as creating joints and export the pieces as png files so you can reassemble them in AS. Victor Paredes ...
