Re: Moho is lagging so much!

If it were me. I would backup everything, reformat the drive and do a fresh installation if you do not have a healthy backup to restore the computer to a pre-corruption state.

Re: Surface Pro 4

Greenlaw, Do you need to live in the LA area to work for Dreamworks? I plan on checking out your cartoons. At a glance it looks like I need Netflix. I have a free trial offer so I will set that up when I have more time. Chucky, Late last night I realized you are Charles Kenway. I had purchased your ...

Re: Exclude Stroke, wait for fix or not?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about - If you create a mask with the "Exclude Stroke" option, then whenever you have the stroke disabled or set to 0 width there will be a thin white line on render. http://i63.tinypic.com/14cgw44.jpg For some reason I frequently miss/overlook po...

Re: Exclude Stroke, wait for fix or not?

I'd like to understand this problem. What line are you referring to? http://i64.tinypic.com/i50tpy.jpg Also, it may annoy you or there may be examples of it being more obvious but if it is only the little white lines in the ear area in that rotating character of the first post no one would notice it...

Re: Can't figure what this layer type is

On the topic, is there a symbol reference chart for the software?

Re: Surface Pro 4

In the process of testing Autodesk Graphic under varying conditions I just discovered something very cool. On a Macbook the trackpad generates pressure sensitive linework. I expected it to respond uniformly like a mouse. Not that I could draw cartoon characters with my fingertip using one but you ce...

Re: Surface Pro 4

I said "overall" which is different than "all" and leaves room for exceptions. Some people can turn water to gold, so to speak. That example is unconventional and interesting how everything is sketched like animated tree branches. I would like to see good examples of standard car...

Re: Surface Pro 4

Oh, and I have ProCreate as well -- I'm just an app junkie, and I bought these in an experiment quite a few years back thinking I was going to be creating a lot of stuff and importing it into Anime Studio. It's taken this long before that's a viable option, but I AM excited about it. Without going ...

...Re learning to coordinate drawing while using a wacom: I think being able to do things without looking at your hands is a learned skill - you do the same thing playing an instrument from sheet music or touch typing..... To a point. I understand you are referring to how you can get a general feel...

Re: Surface Pro 4

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about using the iPad Pro and importing the SVG to Moho. As to the other poster, I have a MacBook Air but I don't like Moho on it either -- again, the screen resolution just doesn't work for me. Where it does work is on my main PC system, with dual 30" monitors. That's ...

Re: mac or pc

Aside from what is probably close to identical cross platform functionality, one thing you may want to consider is that you can get a Cintiq-like experience using an iPad Pro/Apple Pencil without the clunky cable of the Wacom Cintiq 13HD. The cost can be about the same keeping your eyes on the looko...

Re: Surface Pro 4

Yeah, I've tried that but it doesn't help these (old) eyes. After reviewing the SVG import and export capabilities of Moho 12, I've decided to go with an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil, and use Autodesk's Graphic program. The combination should blow away anything I could do in Moho AND still allow m...

Re: Surface Pro 4

...Moho' Freehand and Blob Brush is still a little rough with pen support. It's much better than it used to be but can be frustrating if you intend to make it your primary drawing method. I think the freehand drawing support will continue to improve but, IMO, it's not quite there yet.... I believe ...

Re: Surface Pro 4

Some things are never going to be practical in a small mobile device. I would not use a laptop or small sized Cintiq-like device alone with any high end design software except perhaps throwing something simple together in Photoshop on the fly. They really demand a large screen, trackball/mouse and k...

Re: Surface Pro 4

Have you been using any form of tablet or just a mouse? I think of it like this: Working with a mouse is like drawing using an arm without a hand. Using a tablet gives you the hand with one finger and a thumb. Using a Surface Pro, Wacom Cintiq or Apple Pencil/iPad/Astropad device is a hand with five...
