Ah, I did change the default for ESC to select none, it is very handy that way. But I don't think enter does that. I changed 'Reset view' to ctrl-alt-r. Just glad we can do that. And sorry for the bad info dfaris. D'oh!funksmaname wrote:I think it's ENTER - ESC zooms the canvas...

Re: Switch layers or Smart dials?
I do believe all you have to do is hit ESC as of V11dfaris wrote: I think my problem was that when I clicked off a bone, thinking that it was unselected, I inadvertently selected the nearest bone wherever I clicked. I now choose Edit> Select none, whenever I start a new dial.

Re: Best way to edit dials?
I'll answer my problem. It seems you can't edit dials if its rigged (face switch layer) to a head bone. You have to break the bone-layer connection for it to be editable. So, with this information, is it best to only do the body rig after all dials are in place? or does this just happen only from la...

Re: Best way to edit dials?
I am guessing this has something to do with nested layers. Do you have 'allow nested layer control' checked in your bone layers?

Re: Switch layers or Smart dials?
I do believe you probably just need to learn them properly. I like switch layers myself for many things, but dials definitely work and I have found it is my misunderstanding/mistakes regardibg bone parenting, actions, binding etc that are usually the source of my issues when using them. If you have ...

Re: Another Smart Bone Question
Using AS 11 on a Mac. I'd be happy to post the file, if you'd care to look at it.... Do you have an ftp server thingy that i could drop it at? For the future, I'd suggest getting a free Dropbox account, or use Google Drive. Being able to share a anime file can be really helpful for figuring this st...

Re: Another Smart Bone Question
What version of AS? On 11, and on my system, it works as expected. Are you on Mac or PC? Can you post an anime file?

Re: Another Smart Bone Question
It should work already, except on frame 0 where you want to be able to rotate the bone along with the bone constraints. Move to frame 1 and see that the Transform Bone tool moves the bone within the defined bone constraints.

Re: Custom Brushes not rendering correctly (pictures!)
This is just a single stroke on a single layer, normal blending mode.

Re: Custom Brushes not rendering correctly (pictures!)
Braj , have you seen the .amme file then? There is no way to know otherwise. If the render is different to the display, and it has those glowing edges, then render modes are a strong contender, in my experience. Multiple strokes as you mentioned is still a very strong possibility though. with brigh...

Re: Custom Brushes not rendering correctly (pictures!)
Do you have the 'layer blending mode' set to 'normal' , check the layer setting of all your layers. The blue in there looks a bit like it's on add mode or overlay That definitely isn't it. Download his pngs from the first post and check it with those on a blank new layer/project. Also look at the R...

Re: Custom Brushes not rendering correctly (pictures!)
Cool BTW, you could also try using image texture as fill, that would work too, probably easier than doing a mask But if you you are looking for the brush itself to animate, your method will probably be better. I'd love to see this guy animated when you are done.
