Re: Unsuported audio files on 13.5

Thanks. I think SimplSam suggested that as well, so that will probably be my new default.

Re: Unsuported audio files on 13.5

Along these lines, is there a particular format that people would recommend for general work, ie it doesn't need to be highest quality. I get that it may be user choice, but if there's a consensus of a good format, I'd be interested in knowing.

Re: Why was mp3 support dropped?

Like many I generally use MP3's, MP4's & WAV's in Moho for timing & testing - but not for final export. I have just had success with importing OGG Vorbis audio files (.ogg) in Moho 13.5 on Win which are compressed similarly to MP3's. I used Audacity to convert from .mp3 to .ogg Thanks Simpl...

Re: Why was mp3 support dropped?

audio file sizes seem to be almost an afterthought. Fair enough. I've been working with computers since the 80's, when optimizing space was critical, so I guess it's just part of my mentality now. For me there's not a discernable improvement in converting to a WAV file, so for me it's just bloat. B...

Re: Why was mp3 support dropped?

Oh no :(
I just saw the announcement about 13.5. I was very excited about it. Then I saw that mp3 is dropped. Ouch. WAV is literally 20-40 times larger :(

Re: What are the scripts bundled with older files?

OK, thanks. I'm just playing, learning things I don't know in Moho. The software is so rich, that you can literally spend years working with it and still find things that you don't know about :o

Re: What are the scripts bundled with older files?

Ok, cool. So are they unneeded in Moho 12.5, or perhaps, do they run automatically or something? The files _seem_ to work well, but I haven't checked in detail yet.

What are the scripts bundled with older files?

I'm just doing a little digging around with some of the Moho content and noticed something I haven't seen before. I see scripts like: syn_rl_merge_meshinstanc_final_4.lua aim_bone_ik_hl.lua etc These are the library folders for things like the holiday cards. I don't know why they're there or what &q...

Re: Switch Selection concept for v13.5

if you want to update the thumbnails, you have to shut down and restart Moho and this is a problem! I even thought about using python app to show a dialog with thumbnails. Of course it would be great if you didn't have to shut down Moho. However, I don't know about others, but I typically do most o...

Re: Switch Selection concept for v13.5

I think I was one of the people that was talking with Wes about that idea when he was working on the script :) I definitely agree that the ability to see all the images at once would be great. I mainly use switch layers for hand and mouths, but with a general dialog like you suggest, I can see there...

Re: How do we help with scripting docs and examples?

Hi Greenlaw, I hope the script helps :) I use them all the time. I'm not 100% clear on what you mean by " change a style's ID". I can think of several different interpretations. Of course, you're correct, that two styles can have the exact same name, but different IDs and thus are differen...

Re: How do we help with scripting docs and examples?

Ok. I've finally uploaded my first scripts to http://mohoscripts.com/latest They consist of a script to rename styles a script to reassign styles They both depend on a utility script that I also uploaded called msDialog. That just makes it easy to create simple dialogs. I've added youtube videos for...

Is there any kind of dependency walker?

As I think about sharing scripts, I want to make sure I don't forget that script A is dependent on file B. Is there any kind of dependency walker? How do people test out their scripts to make sure they've include all appropriate dependencies? After all, they're all there on my machine :)
