Re: "Position" values of X and Y

"Cliftons", a unit based on higher creative thought rather than real-world measurements. More seriously, here's an answer from respected forum elder heyvern , originally posted here : Positions of layers, points and bones is not in pixels but application "units" that equal ...

Re: Can I make animations from a jpg picture?

Then used the bind button. That step might have been your undoing. By default, dragging the png "into" the bone layer automatically binds all the bones to the png, depending on the bone positions and strength (the "force field" around each bone, button looks somewhat like a bone...

Re: Has Anyone Used The-Tab?

Chris, I've heard a few good things about Cacani, https://cacani.sg/
Vector-based, frame-by-frame, some interesting features attempting to make the frame-by-frame tedium less tedious.

Have never used it myself, so take that with a grain of salt.

Re: Please Allow View Zooming to Cursor Location

If you pardon the analogy, a painter, when working on a canvas, "zooms" his head in one movement to the place on the canvas upon which he needs to focus. Software usage should mimic this action as close as is possible. In this case, the Mouse imitates the head. [..] I tried to assign a Ke...

Re: Please Allow View Zooming to Cursor Location

Ah, another Autohotkey scripter. If you don't need both number pad and keyboard hotkeys, you can just change this in Moho's keyboard shortcuts editor. I tried that, but the keyboard shortcuts editor would not accept Ctrl+ and Ctrl- as mattchee originally requested. So I downloaded AutoHotKey and ga...

Re: Please Allow View Zooming to Cursor Location

I'd like a ctrl+ and ctrl- to zoom in and out I can't immediately see how to do that, but if you're willing to install something like AuthoHotKey , you can remap those keys to send the Moho default shortcuts, so it acts the way you want. Here's an AutoHotkey script that remaps both the numeric keyp...

yes it supports svg [...] i guess i will maybe upgrade the debut since i got it free. i've read it's does pratically everything that pro does except for the rendering limitation of 3000 frames is it. There are many other differences between Pro and Debut versions of Moho and, unfortunately for your...

Re: Moho 12

Maybe a bit early to make conclusions on a couple of early (possibly automated) page updates? timeanddate tells me it is still 11pm-ish Monday in Santa Cruz (Smith Micro's head office). The new Moho page hasn't gone live with the new version yet: http://my.smithmicro.com/moho-2D-animation-software.h...

Re: I'm Confused: Clip Studio Paint=Manga Studio or not?

The history as I recall it: I believe Manga Studio 4 (and earlier) was the western name for ComicStudio. Same software. ComicStudio became Clip Studio Paint, and the western name became Manga Studio 5 , available through Smith Micro. Same software. Celsys began selling Clip Studio Paint downloadable...

Re: New to Scripting LUA but...

As noted by synthsin75, scripting/interpreted languages such as Lua/Python/Javascript, unlike compiled languages, are usually interpreted directly, like a batch file, there is neither compiler nor Makefile. There is only the interpreter, in this case built into Moho/AS. You could run your code exter...

If you are more of a visual learner, like me, here is the hold frame synthsin75 is talking about.

Re: Sound Issue

Just from reading the forums, suggestions from professionals seem to be: 1. Use WAV (preferably uncompressed), not MP3, although you can use MP3 for "layout" (not final) sound. 2. If you have multiple sound layers, do your mixing in an audio editor or video editor, not in Anime Studio. 3. ...
