Re: Clip Studio, dropping Smith Micro?

Thanks for the recommendation herbert123! It's unfortunate that Clip Studio doesn't export to vector format, but awesome to hear that Opentoonz includes a vector engine too. I've been looking to break my dependence on Adobe products so I will definitely give Opentoonz a look at some point. Thanks ag...

Re: Jack Frost

The earring is a nice touch, makes me think of a bitter, aged punk rocker. Lots of personality in the design. Hope to see the finished animation.

Re: Clip Studio, dropping Smith Micro?

I've had Clip Studio/Manga Studio for years but never used it until a couple of days ago. Too bad Smith Micro lost the license because this is one amazing piece of software! It's quickly becoming my favorite 2d drawing app. Far far better than photoshop/flash(which I'd been using until now). Unfortu...

Very entertaining in its own right! The further I got into the video I started laughing at how he was able to get so many different walk styles.

Re: Make a 3d face from a 2d Image

Hey guys, it works best with a front view image, but I wasn't able to download a usable 3d object either. However, you can take screenshots of different angles as exile has done above for reference images. I used LiceCap, a free screen capture recorder, to create the gifs: https://www.cockos.com/lic...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

Happy to hear the widget is working properly! Blender can be a little weird sometimes. I completely forgot to mention the "G" shortcut. And thanks for the subscribe, you're awesome!

Make a 3d face from a 2d Image

Try this website that takes a photo of your face and instantly turns it into a 3d model: http://cvl-demos.cs.nott.ac.uk/vrn/ https://i.imgur.com/Ma2hl7v.gif It was designed to work with photos, but it accepts artwork too: https://i.imgur.com/TdJDgti.gif Could be used as a nice, convenient way to qui...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

exile - Thanks for the feedback and nice comments! Clicking and dragging on the x, y, or z axis of the widget should constrain the object to that axis. Also, the part in the video where I duplicated an object using the keyboard shortcut "Shift" + "D", I followed that by pressing ...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

Hey Shanty Baba, thanks for taking a peek and the nice comments! No prior knowledge of Blender is required to follow the video, but if you have any questions later on feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them (I'm still learning Blender myself).

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

I've been playing around with Blender to find ways to make it work with 2d artwork/animation, possibly for a Moho to Blender workflow. 3d in 2d animation has generally been an eyesore, with few exceptions, but as software evolves that will definitely change. Right now, Blender has a few 2d friendly ...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

Hey jahnocli, I got that 3d effect on the car by using Grease Pencil, which is the "photoshop" section of Blender. You can draw and paint, but in 3 dimensions. See below: https://i.imgur.com/kOqHPP0.gif Here is the blender file (version 2.79): https://ufile.io/ghu31 You can also add bones ...
