Re: A couple of new characters for 2015...
Very Valid Point Iwaxana. I would be equalizing the line weights in final production. I made the mistake initially of creating each drawing independently. To show comparative scale to the client I was asked to pair them up on one page. I just scaled the JPEG proofs I originally created to get this r...

A couple of new characters for 2015...
Hi all! Just thought I would post these characters for a project that is coming up in 2015. Hope you like them... http://i60.tinypic.com/rud5eh.jpg They may be changed over time, but the client likes them so far. Any thoughts or comments are welcome! EDIT: I have included the final edit of the video...

Re: Fionna and Cake Fan Animation
That is very cool - lots of effort put in to make a very nice fan flick that the Adventure Time team would be in appreciation of. Loved it!
The music was cool too!

Re: my animation samples using anime studio
Very nice efforts! With sound effects and some scene changes, the sword fighting scenes would be pretty engaging. I agree with the joints and leg comments. In the Cell phone animation, consider using no lines and higher contrasting colors, or colored lines that are just a little darker than the fill...

Re: My AS animations
Very interesting and cool imagery. The characters are very original and creepy. The animation is pretty nice. I have a general comment regarding the birds you animated, not that they are bad - in fact they are quite adequate as background elements, but the following is just in case you want to ramp ...

I thought Secret of the Kells was fantastic! This looks to be even better. How does one get involved in such projects with your group?

Re: animation course mascot
Very well done! The voiceover audio could have used a little more finesse. Consider using a service such as www.fiverr.com to hire someone to do a more professional job for a very tiny fee. Generally only $5. Music was decent. I really enjoyed the beginning, where you start from sketching and end in...

Re: Problem with tools not working
I know that I have had many issues with the Mac mouse in the past at work. So much so that I refuse to use one now. Try plugging in a wired PC mouse - almost any wired Logitech or Microsoft mouse will do. Actually, any mouse with buttons should work. Borrow one if you have to, then give it a try. Th...

Re: Custom-made Characters for Anime Studio
Jupitor6 did you do the Jake character? I bought that one awhile back. Whether it is yours or not, I like that character. I learned some things from it at the time I bought it.

I think he can be excused for being a poor salesman if his work is professional. There is no shortage of talented people who are not good at sales pitches, after all.

Re: Version 10 - too many points
It should be mentioned that something like lots of window panes with the very same colour are best done as one overall shape - you can construct the same way, but with empty curves instead, and only select all and create one fill in the end. This makes a difference in memory usage for AS and may im...

Re: Version 10 - too many points
Drawing shapes in the right order could possibly have been highlighted in the earlier post as well.
All of my posting assumes there wasn't some strange requirement for the paint bucket tool overall. It seemed to me that there was no requirement at all.

Re: Version 10 - too many points
I may have misunderstood something along the way, although I did read the entire thread. It would seem that too much emphasis may have been put on using the wrong tool for a certain job, leading to the application of colors in a way that is somewhat detrimental to the overall process, basically dest...

I liked the run in its original form, but I loved it when the pace was quickened. Made the motion perfect. Nice job!

Re: Dr. Cure. Constructive Criticism welcome!
I liked it! I really liked your character design. Not sure about the white outline. I thought your English accent was pretty good. The arm movements were jerky, if not unnecessary. You could always go further with movement generally, but I liked the minimalist approach to it overall. A nice kind of ...
