Re: Flintstone-esque
SHORT ANSWER: Actually the stylus came with the laptop but it is Wacom technology. I did draw right on the monitor of the laptop (or the little glass plate). It is a 12" monitor. The laptop is a Lenovo X61. I got it through a local classified site for a few hundred dollars. LONGER, MORE DETAILE...

Re: Flintstone-esque
One thing of note about this drawing... I used a laptop with a pressure sensitive stylus to control a desktop computer - both in my home on the same network - through teamviewer. This was like having a wacom tablet with it's own keyboard drawing on another computer. More like a Cintiq in the sense t...

Flintstone-esque
I was messing around with AS10 and wound up drawing this very Fred Flintstone-like potential denizen of Bedrock. I don't plan to do anything with it, but it was a fun test subject for the new software...

Heh - actually I normally don't do that, but since this was a shading test I gave it a whirl.
Thank you for taking the time to offer your advice! I very much appreciate it!

Funny Looking Bald Guy
This is just a test animation that I created a character on the fly for. Nothing here is earth shattering or innovative, but maybe it will help those newer to the software(?). This test is more for the purpose of creating characters than for making animation in AS - I find myself enjoying designing ...

9.5 does this - hit the play button and start moving bones around. See what happens! Worked for me anyway.dreeko13 wrote:if it has recordable realtime puppetry for limbs, heads etc like Muvizu has for its 3..d characters then anime studio will stand head and shoulders above the others

Re: The Snowman.
I liked it too! I may be being a little too critical here but the tree movement in the background was odd and jerky. Should have been maybe more loose and flowing. It seemed the trees were moving against the direction of the wind, noted by the angle of the falling snow. Also, consider coloring the li...

Re: New animation project character design
I have to say that the variable width and tapering line control is a great feature in AS. I haven't found anything else in the vector realm that does it near as well. Sometimes I feel like I am a little heavy handed using it, but it just looks and feels so much better after applying it to a characte...

Re: New animation project character design
It looks great but I prefer the eyes of the hand drawn design than the traced one. Something tells me that those eyes won't work as separated as they are. -G I can understand that. The closer-together eyes seem more natural for a cartoon character...more comfortable - I decided on giving the charac...

...Progressed rapidly from the original character sketch.
It went from looking like a Warner Brothers Wolf/Disney Goofy design to a more modern screwball-type of character look. Streamlined decently.

A new character for a new animation project I am working on solo:
I have done the script and the client has approved it with small changes. Storyboarding is next!
