I've been seing that, but it gets particularly strange if you've translated a layer a few times in 3D space. It would seem that the origin point determines the layers "distance" for depth sorting. I put together a whole series of 3D buildingd to import as objects for background, and then r...

Perhaps another option would be to internally pre-render the 3D object layer down to an image layer (an image with transparency) and then proceed normally. The Image export for Flash seems to work just fine. If new images were only generated when the view of the 3D object changed (from camera or lay...

I guess I did speak too soon. Actually, I find it kind of strange that a new object's outline created down the timeline can still be seen on an earlier frame, even if the layer has been set to invisible. If a layer is invisible, it should be, so I think that should go in the bug category. It would c...

Right click on the swatch to set the line color, and you're set. Can't help with the effects colors, but the ability to grab colors out of the swatches for them would be a mighty handy thing.

2 Possible Ways.

In the older versions, you could always set this up by using switch layers, with one sublayer for each frame. I never used it, but it could be very useful for things like walk cycles if you set up the appropriate switch file.] But now, if I were to try it, I'd more likely use the fact that you can d...

Good stuff. I particularly liked Huesito. "Hmm, where'd my bone go?"

So, another member asked me how this worked, so here it is: Thanks! It was mostly a test to play around with the new 3D object import. I had pretty much negelcted it in the last version, except where it related to the old 2D style sceneplaning. When they busted out the 3D import , I had to play. Fir...

As I said, the bit in Wings was a hack job. I whipped it together, found that Moho rendered it in a pretty unfortunate manner where there were a lot of polys, so I hacked 'em out. Not pretty, but enough to illustrate the idea. Yeah, the chin is just messed up, in a 3D app. But I was kind of surprise...

More fun with 3d

I thought earlier today that I might try to expand a bit on SqueakyDaves 3d features bit. So, I whipped up an admittedly pretty primitive head shape in Wings3D, and started mapping facial features onto it in Moho 5. Here is what I've come up with so far, Quicktime using Sorenson 3 compression. Proje...

Object depth between 4.6 and 5

I tried opening up this file in Beta 5, and all of the background objects seem to have had their depth order reversed. It appears to render properly when exporting the animation, but everywhere else it's all out of kilter. Ack!

Cool stuff. I dunno, I spent so much time in my formative years tring to make the smoothest clay animation that I could it's a little hard to be super enthusiastic. But, I like it, the wheelbarrow at the end in particular. Nice piece, the "Alens Attack". But, I also have to throw in, if ha...

I've been using Sharemation for a while. 2 or three years. You have to set the sharing permissions, but if you put all of your shareable files in one folder, and just set the permissions for that folder to "share" it's easy as pie. I know their upgrading their software over there at the mo...

Ric_535 - Maybe your using a lower screen resolution that crowds everything together. I generally use the highest resolution my monitor will support (1600x1200 at the moment) which leaves thinks a little spread out.

Second that

I wouldn't mind that either. For the moment as a workaround (my desktop is way too cluttered) I just leave a fullscreen empty notepad window behind moho. I used that because its almost no extra overhead.

Lasso Woes, etc

Sorry to throw more at you. but as far as I can tell, the lasso mode for point selection is DOA. This also seems to be the case in the "bind points"tool. Just for the heck of it, I again tried to use the lasso tool to select a very, very dense scribbly drawing I did with my pallette with t...
