Re: Holding a placard
I could see most of the video, then there was a "try again later" notice. Thanks a lot for going to all that trouble, Vern, I'll have to watch it again tomorrow to get all the details and will apply it to my file asap. But I'm pretty sure it's going to work, makes a lot of sense. I'm sure ...

Holding a placard
My character holds up a sign mounted on sticks. The sign is in front of the character, but the character's hands need to be in front of the sticks so it looks like he is holding it. I put copies of the character's hands into the sign with a switch layer - one with hands and the other without (the ch...

Re: How to plan multi-scene project
Yes, that's the tutorial that got me interested. Sometimes simple compiling is preferable to a program with bells and whistles that causes headaches. I was a bloody beginner For you Brits: Slowtiger is not using bad language, that's a German expression meaning "a complete beginner" or &quo...

Re: How to plan multi-scene project
Thanks, tiger, I'll try to follow your advice. I noticed in another thread in this forum that there is a software called DVD Flick which simply compiles clips into a single film - I'm going to test it to see if can convert the files and keep the timing exact. Were you an animator for "Werner&qu...

How to plan multi-scene project
My first ambitious project is planned as a multi-scene animation synchronized with a song. In one webinar at incredibletutorials.com it said that the best way of working in Animé studio is to make separate clips and stitch them all together later in a video editor. It would be nice if the whole proj...

Have you tried to change the movements you don't like?
I'm a beginner, but there are experts in this forum who will help you if you can clearly explain your problem.

Re: Patch layer-binding
In case you missed the thread "Hiding lines in flash files" there is a good tutorial on the patch layers: http://www.animestudiotutor.com/drawing ... _patch_la/
You can bind them to a bone, which works great - it isn't in the manual, but the video shows how it's done.

Re: Fix Speed Video - Reparar la velocidad del Video
I don't think you have a problem with the number of colors or compression of the movie file. How does it look when you play it back in the main window of the program? You can fix the speed by selecting the key frames and moving them forward or backward on the time line. The van flies over the hill, ...

Re: Hiding lines in Flash files
Thanks for all the replies, it looks like this forum is a big plus point for animé studio. To be perfectly honest, I think you've shown me that I didn't know anything about the flash format and probably don't need it - I like a full-screen view with a small file size, but otherwise flash has no adva...

Re: Hiding lines in Flash files
Thanks, jahnocli. I guess I don't know what a bvh file is - can the program import a complete animation and hide the unwanted lines, or do I have to start all over again? In that case I might be better off doing without Flash until Animé makes its patch layers compatible to that format. I love tryin...

Re: Hiding lines in Flash files
Thanks, Slowtiger. I looked into some Flash editors, as a non-professional I don't want to invest a lot. Synfig looked interesting, does anyone have experience with it or another suggestion?

Hiding lines in Flash files
The hide edge and patch layer tools work fine if I export in Quicktime format, but not in Flash. I'm working on my first real project and have a quadruped with jointed legs. Test animations in Flash look pretty stupid because all lines are visible. Is there a solution for this problem?
