Re: Minimum Resolution for Advanced Style

That reminds me, if you do decide to undock windows like I do, here are a few annoyances to watch for... When launching Moho 12.5, the Style window always opens, even after you closed it the last time you used Moho. If you press the tilde button when you meant to press the Esc button, Moho will re-d...

Re: Minimum Resolution for Advanced Style

FWIW, I never dock the Style window (or the Actions window for that matter) because, IMO, the Layers window can use all the vertical height it can get. Also, unlike the Actions window, it's not necessary to keep the Style or Actions window open all the time. When I'm busy animating, I keep these win...

Re: Wolfwalkers is available on Apple TV+

Yay, Victor! Congrats to you and the rest of the Wolfwalkers crew. It seems like my family and I have waited forever to watch this movie. Some of my co-workers at DWA watched it already and I've been avoiding 'work' chats with potential spoiler discussions. I know what I'm going to be doing this wee...

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said it's not really what we're discussing. As much as I like using the Magnet tool, it's completely different from using the Transform tool. I'm almost sure the issue you're running into now has to do with the type of fall-off used by the Magnet tool. But, as you no...

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

Did a quick search in the forums and it looks like I asked about this myself a few years ago. :) The best option I could find for editing points in multiple layers at once was a Multilayer Magnet tool discussed here: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=19114&p=176273#p176246...

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

I seem to recall a third party script for transforming points in multiple layers at once. Or that might be wishful thinking...will look into it later tonight.

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

Yeah, I ran into that situation a few years ago and know exactly what you mean. I chalked it up to experiences and, now I just try to avoid getting into that predicament again. Sorry, I know that's not particularly helpful for your current situation, but I hope you get it solved. If I think of anyth...

Re: Vehicle physics tutorial

Hi Seliverstoff,

Wow! I've done similar physics setups in a 3D program I use, but it never occurred to me that this could be done in Moho too. Now I need to think about how I can use this technique on my next Moho project. :)

Thanks for sharing this tutorial!

Re: COVID Christmas Anti-Viral Holiday Special

Sigh! I totally identify with the character.

Anyway, I really liked this short. It had kind of a 'Peanuts Special' feel to it. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Re: Moho won’t work properly on Big Sur.

You'll need to use one of the Export As Previous Version commands to use Moho 13 files in a previous version. (Look under the File menu.)

I did this with the character rigs I created in Moho 13 during beta testing to use in Moho 12.5. Moving the projects backwards was mostly painless.

Re: Major Software Loading Issue

Using the 'final' installer for your version Moho means if SM decides to shut down the license server, you can continue to run that version on your computer indefinitely. Not the most comforting thought for Moho's future but at least it means things won't end abruptly. Hopefully, SM (or a new owner)...

Re: Interpolation for limb move cents?

I typically just leave it set on Smooth. The effect of Smooth can be like 'easing' but it's really not the same thing. From what I've observed, Smooth is looking at how the curves move in and out of a keyframe and it will try to 'smooth' the motion without a noticeable change in speed while the char...

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

Re: DKW Root's Translate Points mod, yeah, that's a great tool! It definitely saves me a lot of time when I need it. I wish it was easier to disable the modified anchor point behavior when I don't want that though because sometimes I prefer the original behavior. To work around this, I will disable ...

Re: Is it bad practice to scale layers at frame 0?

I see. It was already designed but I constantly change my mind about my drawings. It was going to be a multicharacter complex rig so I am going to try to not scale the layers. I will try to find out if maybe I can use some of the two bake bones scripts to simplify the process. A few more tips... Wh...
