Just some silly shorts I did this weekend while testing out a script I'm writing to make lipsync easier for me.

Re: Moving switch layer keyframes
Cool. Thanks neeters_guy, I'm interested in writing scripts so I don't mind wading through the code if it doesn't work.neeters_guy wrote:Rudiger's Nudge Key script could be your solution

Moving switch layer keyframes
Is there an existing way to easily move existing keyframes for a switch layer (or any layer for that matter) left and right without selecting the frames first? If not I may write a script to do it. I know I can right click to select all the keyframes to the right of current time and then drag left a...

Re: SHARE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS
People asked for a more detailed video on creating the head turn and combining it with the 3/4 and front view. I've just added a video for that. Really not much new for experts, but hopefully it provides some help and hints for those that are just learning how to do the head turns, smart bones and s...

Re: Charakter Design: Smartbones vs. Switches
Hi Andreas73, But I think, if I do this, he must be perfect, so I can use him often. I've just been through this thinking process so I'll share what I've learned. You may find this thread of particular interest. http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=27976 1) Mouth - use switch laye...

Re: Rigging trouble
Hi dreal, My first suggestion would be to go through the tutorials that come with 9.5 and then look at the characters that come with Anime Studio and study how they're rigged. By studying them and comparing to the tutorials you can see what the limitations and strengths of each approach is. I can't ...

Re: Animate Hide Edge / Line (workaround)
Cool. I didn't know about the alt key either :o (I guess for ASP, when in doubt press the alt key :o) I've been wanting the stroke exposure, mainly for shoulder joints in body turns, but the best I could come up with was reference layers with different exposures on each. The shape ordering idea and ...

Re: Head Turn Test
Ok. Here's a quick two part. The first part fixes the nose (per funksmaname) and the second part adds some life (per neeters_guy).

Re: Head Turn Test
Thanks funksmaname. I'll have the width go to zero sooner. On my next post I'll keep the old, but compare it with real animation like neeters_guy suggests
Feeling better today, but still not sure I'm out of the woods yet, so I'll take it a little easy Thanks for the well wishes.

Re: My Anime Studio Pro 11 animation
Hi Cobra5005 Good start. The other things I'd suggest on the jump is to be at full extension before the feet move. You can go past full extension in the air, but the feet, in particular, appear to be sliding. Hope that helps.

Re: Head Turn Test
I think I'm starting to catch a cold :( but I just had to try to improve that nose :o Here it is BSW6qPjtcaw I'm much happier with the results :D Basically needed to think a little. It's an up turned nose, so show shading. (I haven't done that with my characters much yet). Also, this is the first ti...

Re: Head Turn Test
Thanks for the feedback. Definitely some things to think about and try. It looks as if the nose switch layer wasn't set to interpolate, For my rig I actually didn't use switch layers. I created one that kind of looks like the on neeters_guy did, but with sharper angles. When he faces forward you wou...
