Re: Anime Studio export into Blender?

Weird. If I use the "import" function, it doesn't give avi of gif or png as one of the options.

But, if I click ctrl-a, I can add anything with no problems.

Oh well. I've got a work around. Thanks.

Anime Studio export into Blender?

Is there any file format that AS uses (avi, gif, etc) that could be imported into Blender?

Or is there any software out there which can convert Anime studio file formats into Blender-accepted formats?

Re: yawning. practicing

Pretty good.

Very fluid movement, and I like the head turn with the mouth movement, the hand over the mouth, all good.

Perhaps his right arm could use more follow through on the stretch, hold the pose longer and then drop the arm back to his side quickly.

Re: Healthy diet

I love your stuff. I had to go back through the forum posts and look at all of them. Very funny and engaging. I love how you do so much in such a short time frame. And that Sushi commercial rocks.

Re: Thorn front view walk with smart bones

This is good timing for me, as I am currently stymied in creation of a front walk cycle. Unfortunately I don't have the latest version of ASP, so my smartbones don't cover layer and shape reordering. But that's not where I'm stuck. I'm having a hard time getting the rear foot to look right when it's...

Re: Bones following paths

Perhaps try breaking the train down into separate layers, one for each car. Then have each car follow the path. and then bring up the layer window for each car, and turn on "rotate to follow path". I can't find it right now, but somewhere online there is a tutorial for ASP showing a chines...

Re: Binding Objects with other Moving Objects

But maybe there are better ways. Maybe to say to an object "Always look down" or "Always look (and maybe "lock" too) on this point on that object".

This sounds like "Target Bones", which showed up in version 10.

Re: No "Scale Layer" tool? What to do?

In version 9.5, scale layer, rotate layer and translate layer are all handled by the same tool. Which one you are using depends on where your cursor is in relation to the layer. Select your translate layer tool and watch how it changes when you move it around the red layer box. You can learn more by...

Re: Home Caregiving Course Character Animation

This is well done. About the only animation note I have is that the female character in the beginning needs a little up and down motion (and squash&stretch) added to her run cycle. Otherwise it looks nice.

Missing and Mislabeled Webinars on SmithMicro Webinar Page

Not sure if this is the place to address it, but I couldn't seem to contact anyone from the webinar page itself, so here goes. A webinar on this page is labeled as "Special Techniques and Tips to Speed Up Your Workflow", by Victor Paredes, http://my.smithmicro.com/animewebinars/special-tec...

Re: Neko and the Gecko Completed! :-)

I like it. The pacing is surprisingly quick for an 11 minute video. There's some great stuff here!

The whole thing was done in Anime Studio Debut 6?

Wow, I've got to get back to work now.

That's great.

You should post that (or a link to it) in this thread, I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it:

Re: Adorrible ep1 "Tough day"

Pretty good. I like the idea of horrible/adorables, maybe this one could use a bit more adorable. Actually, that's not quite it. The character looks flat. Which is ok, except you have him turning, instead of say, rocking side-to-side. The shadow underneath looks fine. Perhaps you could add some shad...

Re: Gaaaahhhh!!! (Translation: Need Help With Follow Path)

OK, solved it. I had to open a new file, and import only the layers for the path and the object, to see the problem. The tutorials say that you can create the object anywhere, just move layer's origin point to directly underneath the object after you create it, right? My software would not remember ...
