Re: Cute little skipping dinosaur

humanistheart: <I>Do you get that thing too where the character/background starts moving slowly at the beginning and slows down at the end? I've had trouble with that when I do a long background</i>. Yes, exactly. I think it's a combination of things causing that problem. 1.) Simply having too much ...

Re: Cute little skipping dinosaur

humanistheart, oops. Edit: She is moving along the background and the camera is panning along with her. I saw that there was noticeable sliding both when she first starts, and when she goes into that big jump at the end. So, I went in and added movement to her layer specifically during those times t...

Re: Cute little skipping dinosaur

Thank you for the replies. I went back into the .anme file and recolored the background. Now perhaps she won't disappear into the scenery so much. (Posted at the top of the page) Of course that scenery is going to need more work before I am happy with it, but hopefully it looks a bit better, now. Th...

Re: Cute little skipping dinosaur

That background needs more work, it's true.

I was interested in how they did all the backgrounds for that Puffin Island Series.

All I can guess is that they painted the different pieces of scenery using ASP brushes, rendered them as PNGs, then reimported them into the final scenes.

Cute little skipping dinosaur

This is the first 30 seconds of animation from "The T Stands for Justice", a work in progress about a T-Rex that fights for truth, justice, and birthdays. Eventually this shot will be broken into two, with the title appearing in between. 116686821 Okay here's the shot with a recolor on the...

Re: Puffin Rock

Beautifully made. The animation is clean, and the backgrounds look great.

Did you import those textures, or find them in an .anme file somewhere?

Re: How can I add a point in the middle of two other points?

If you have version 9.5 or greater, you should just be able to select the add points tool, and click on a spot on the trapezoid where you want the point to be. If you want the computer the place the new points at perfect intervals for you, then follow what sbtamu wrote. The default on scripts/draw/s...

Funny choices, and well staged, too. My only suggestion is to add some secondary actions for Eve. A few eye shifts, a blink or too, maybe a blush or an eye-roll.

Re: Variable width curve tutorial question

paul4laffs, when you look at your style window, there's a little box at the bottom labeled "Advanced", if you turn that on, it should show you the outline options. Now let's say you draw a U - shaped line made of 3 points. You then select all 3 points, and hit the space bar, which should &...

Re: question re: Smartbones plus timeline - Solved

Thank you for the reply. I just ran across the solution this afternoon while looking for something else. A comment on this thread basically said what you just did, albeit rephrased somewhat. http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=24952&p=138433&hilit=smart+bone+insert+key&a...

question re: Smartbones plus timeline - Solved

I am rigging a character's head turn to a smart bone. In the manual it says that it is possible to increase the number of frames a smart bone action takes, and modify the action by inserting new keyframes, after having increased the duration of the smart bone's turn I seem to be unable to change the...

Re: Green Lantern effect

Not sure about the halo, I know that the layer settings box will allow you to put an outline around the entire contents of, say, the bone layer, but don't know about a halo. There are settings on the style box that will give your shapes a soft edge or halo. As far as the glowing trail goes, you coul...

How many layers did you use? Or, if only one layer, how many different shapes did you use to make up the pitcher?

Re: One of My Dinosaurs Isn't Galloping Correctly

Sorry lwux, the title was a lame joke. See, one of them isn't "galloping" correctly ... yeah lame, I know. I'm actually pretty happy with them. The ankylosaur suffered from some sort of file corruption, so I had to rebuild its skeleton and rebind everything. When I was done, It galloped so...
