ouch No offense intended there. 1) Multi layer action ability (including layer z depth animation, very important on DF head turn technique) I'm still new to this, but I thought that putting it all on one layer and sorting the shape depth would take care of this. Is depth sorting of shapes not an an...

Okay, here goes nothing... All actions really do for you is remember keyframes and names for them, making them easy to find and reuse. Non-Pro users just need to keep track of where the keyframes are themselves. First you need to estimate how many actions your going to need in terms of frames. Darth...

Actions in non-Pro AS
I'm sure someones already posted this somewhere, so I'll just ask first. Would anyone be interested in knowing how to build actions in non-Pro AS? If so, I write it up for ya. I can even give pointers on how you'd modify Darthfurby's great 'head turn with actions' tutorial for use with non-Pro AS

So, if I understand you, tool and menu scripts create content while only layer scripts can modify ( after the fact)? Well if you can still consolidate your layer scripts that would be helpful. If you only have to embed one script that covers all of your scripts, then you wouldn't have to pick and ch...

So parenting isn't so much a translation-like constraint as it is a sort of 'lock to parent'? And a child has no absolute positional values that can be passed on, only the unchanging relative value to its parent? And how does rotation differ? Is it that the relative change from pivot to tip is all i...

Is there a script that can do this?
Okay, this could also be a feature request, but I figured I'd start here. I've been studying the bone constraints and parenting, and it seems a bit unbalanced. What I've noticed is this: Translate- a translated parent translates its child equally - position constraint only works from a manually tran...

Thanks Vern, mine works fine. I'll try again. If not I'll just copy your link. And yeah, I meant to give you credit Genete. That's by no means my discovery. I figured the heavy scripting folks would just ignore it. Like I said, non-Pro users may find some of those rigs useful. Not to mention myself,...

Parenting cross-constraint example
I made this up for my own reference, but maybe someone else could find it helpful. These are examples of using bone parenting to make one constraint input (translate, rotate,or scale) output to a different constraint of another bone. I think these will help minimize control points on a rig. Another b...
