Re: Relative Keyframing

Relative Keyframing is an option that, really, has a very specific use - and having this option checked for most forms of animation can actually create very large problems. In my opinion, it is not useful enough to hold such a valued position in the Timeline - and probably should move to a "Men...

Gentlefolk:

Here is video number 4 in the series, "Adding Expression to Your Animation".

https://youtu.be/fe-jOtkQPcQ

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

This was a surprise to me - that OpenToonz has a regular "Raster" Level type - which can be used to produce very nice watercolor and colored pencil sketches. Watch, if you will, the following video where this technique is demonstrated along with Peg and Path substitution functionality: htt...

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Here's a new video demonstrating how to use OpenToonz "Automatic Inbetweening" to produce the illusion of "anticipation" and then "reaction" in a simple animation:

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

I think that merely substituting different voices with the same phonemes, words and phrases represents the tip of that programming iceberg. You could probably find enough examples of a famous person, Jimmy Stewart, for example - speaking many, many words and sounds and phrases - but what you wouldn'...

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

For those following along, here is my latest video showing how to animate a "Level" along a path while Transforming the entire Level (Layer) at the same time:

I hope you find this useful.

Dueyftw:

Do you have the expertise to assemble these recorded phonemes, words and phrases in the form that would be useful? I could negotiate a very attractive "split" of profits with you - if you can do this.

Slowtiger:

Do they pay English speakers with perfect voices that amount, in Euros?

If so, could you please send me a link to those possibly interested? I'm game.

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Well, if anyone can figure out how to "package" my voice into an artificial "text to speech" algorithm - it is for sale - let's say . . . for $300,000. Let me know. P.S. The other day I was speaking with my daughter about some strange "visual" symptoms I've been having ...

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Apology accepted. In praise of Garageband, however, the latest version seems to handle all "noise cancellation" automatically (like a gate), and cuts between takes without any perceptible clicks or pops. I do perform a lot of retakes, and I am pretty particular about the final result. If a...

Re: TOONZ GOES OPEN SOURCE

Not sure if this is a complement or not. Artificial? No, I'm sure it is an insult shrouded in the appearance of praise. This is just me, speaking. No artificial anything. I use Garageband for voice over work. I use a very cheap Microsoft "chat" headset (mic attached). Nothing fancy. Greg S...

Re: Special Effects software

OpenToonz also has an extensive set of FX built into the software. Probably more effects than most people will ever need. Also, OpenToonz has particles which can be used in conjunction with these effects. Here is a tutorial showing how to use shading and glow effects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
